Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Received the element very quickly but it had been damaged in shipping. Called AppliancePartsPros to report this and they quickly shipped another element - very easy process. To install the element, I turned off the power to the range, put on rubber gloves (just in case) and removed the two sheet metal crews at the rear of the oven -... Read more

This push-on nut is a press-fit retainer that secures components to a smooth shaft or stud. Use it to restore a tight, reliable hold when the original fastener is missing, bent, or no longer grips securely.
The plastic piece on the handle where the screw goes in to hold glass door up had broke. I ordered new handle, the retainer pieces that go over the plastic pieces to lock it all in and screws that were suggested. The screws were the wrong ones. They were way too small. I already had one screw and thankfully only had to buy 1 new one because the screw was $40 and shipping’s $10 for it AND it’s on back order right now. The old retainer ring that goes over plastic piece was a nightmare to remove... Read more

Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more
This oven door hinge is a replacement for many models of ovens. Oven doors will have two hinges. If there is a problem with one or both of the hinges, it means that the door will not open and close properly. It might not stay closed, or it could be difficult to open. This would make it impossible to use the oven, and the hinge should be replaced as soon as possible. An oven door hinge could become damaged for a host of reasons. When the door is open, too much pressure could be placed on the hinge, which could cause it to break. It could become corroded over time, or the spring might wear down. When there are issues, the owner will want to replace the hinge to ensure the door stays closed. Owners should always make sure the oven is off and not powered before beginning work. The oven door hinge will work with certain models of ovens from Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air, Norge, Crosley, and Magic Chef. This is a genuine OEM replacement part, and it is sold individually. If both of the hinges need to be replaced, the owner will need to buy two.
I had to take out the bottom drawer that holds pans. Disconnect the power and pull the oven out. Removed door, rear panel that held the screws for the side panel and lift up and out the side panel. After that it was straight forward as to replacing the hinge. Spent more time cleaning the florr where the oven was than installing the hinge. Read more

After researching on the internet I found I needed a new oven temperature sensor, and this site had the fastest delivery and a great price! I also like the videos telling you how to do the repair. My husband is the handyman, but has too many projects on his plate and the repairs looked simple. I did the temperature sensor all by myself when he wasn't even home, and the light socket replacement I only had trouble taking the old part out, so my husband pulled it out for me, but I did all the... Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Watched the how to video and it was good information. You should be observant about which openings in the back of the oven as to where the two wires are coming out of. My oven is over 12 years... Relpaced both sets of gas lines/burners. They came with Natural gas orafaces preinstalled, so I backed them out with a wrench and reused my LP orafaces instead. Worked like a dream should. Orafaces were snug, taking out and putting in, but they are coated with some sort of pipe sealer. Maybe took 30 minutes to remove, swap orafaces, then replace the new parts. Works perfectly! This is the left hand assembly.
Replaced the lines, however the model maytag I was working un is a poor design. When you lift the top up to access the lines, you are putting pressure on the gas lines. If you lift it up, then down several times; then you risk bending the tubing and it will break. My recomendation is for do-it-yourselfers to lift it, install it, and close it in one step so you don't bend or break the lines again. Hope this helps. Brian Read more

I ordered a new door glass from appliancepartspro.com it came within two days, but I forgot to order the 8 pieces of foam tape, assuming it would also be included in with the order, it wasn't, so after waiting for that to arrive, it was fairly easy, job after watching the video. However, the video doesn't tell you the painted side goes on the inside, or that the single sided foam tape goes on the top, and the double sided foam tape goes on the sides, I figured that out from the diagram on my... It was pretty easy to fix once I received the parts, just lined up the handle and tighten the screws in the door. Parts were an exact match. It would have been nice to have a tutorial or instructions with the individual pieces to confirm putting the right pieces together. Read more

Purchased the triple burner and dual burner element. I added my model of stove and I was able to pull up diagrams of the stove parts. The parts were easy to find using the diagrams and the burner elements were marked 17 & 15 so I placed my order. Parts were here in a couple of days. The tricky part was figuring out how to get into the stove top. I was a few youtube videos to see different replacement. My husband and I got the stove top off and flipped it over on the counter. We looked at... Read more
