Found the end of the right-side Door Spring that connects to the Door Cable broke off and the plastic end of the Door Cable that connects to the Door Spring was also broken off. Fix a dishwasher that won't start or won't stay closed with this door latch kit. Straightforward repair in under 30 minutes with basic tools.
I turned off the power then removed the six or so screws from the back of the top panel. I marked the two front wires on the latch with tape so I would not get them confused. I removed the two screws holding the latch on--these take a six pointed star bit on the screw driver--the bit is in most screw driver sets with interchangeable heads. I then connected the wires to the new latach and put everything back together. The whole process took between ten and fifteen minutes. Read more

Just removed from front and the console. I wound up replacing the control board because the technician that I had come out said that's what was wrong and it would cost $250 to fix. I replaced the control board and it didn't fix the problem. After doing more research and searching out the error codes, I discovered I had to replace the console. so i did. The part just snaps on the basket. You have to remove the clips on the end of the runner arms to be able to remove the basket. Once it was out the old arm snap off and you snap on the new arm. Only problem was my old arm was fine and I wished the company would just sell the gasket. It seems a waste to have to purchase the whole arm. I had an appliance repair guy come and he told me it was possibly the vent assembly but if changing it didn't fix the problem it would be the control board next. He felt it was not worth the money to repair because he would have to disconnect everything just to get to the vent on the right rear top of the dishwasher.
