In side of freezer drawer was icing up Gary L V. • Fort Myers , FL • February 06, 2016
I pulled the old gasket off the door then I used rubbing alcohol to clean the mold along the back of the door and in the insert for the gasket seals . The new gasket fit extremely well and was very easy to put in. I waited 24 hours for the gasket to come back to its normal shape. After putting the gasket in I waited another 24 hours to make sure that I was getting no Icing inside the freezer area. There was no icing so the job is completed.

The first repair was replacing a dead circuit board in the frig. The second repair was maintenance items including a drip pan and a new freezer gasket Dwight S. • Nokesville , VA • September 11, 2018
A tree had fallen across our power lines and the resulting power surge fried the circuit board. The diagnosis was a bit difficult and involved an educated guess based on how the frig was acting. The display was dark unless a button was pressed and the inside light worked but that was all. I had to rule out the compressor as the root cause so I back fed power to the compressor and heard it and the condenser fan fire up. I ordered the board and found the only way I could get it overnight was to...

Getting the right part and finding one in stock is a little harder. Appliance Parts Pros has a web chat that was very helpful in making sure I got the right part. Tip: Be gentle when opening the drawer with a load in it. If it slams the stop at the end it breaks.

- Remove the freezer's rear interior panel to access the evaporator; defrost any ice as needed
- Mount the new thermostat firmly against the same evaporator tube location/orientation as the original for accurate sensing
