I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. I pulled the refrigerator out, removed the back panel, disconnected the fan motor. I did not know how hard or easy it would be to remove the fan from the motor shaft so I removed the motor with the fan attached and then removed and replaced the fan. I took the new seal out of it's packaging and used a blowdryer on low heat to soften up the seal so that the crease from shipping (it was folded to ship) disappeared. The drain pan (Tray-Evaporator Pan) was cracked in 2 places. We had to remove the front panel. Loosen the bracket that holds the water filter. Take off the back panel and disconnect the bracket that holds the selenoid. It was not necessary to unhook the water lines, just the bracket. It was not easy to remove the old pan and get the new one in, but holding the water filter, with the bracket intact, as far to the left side of the refrigerator as possible gave us the room to get the pan in. ...
