Defective dishwasher water intake pump. Jim J. • Lorraine , KS • July 10, 2020
Only two screws hold the mount of the pump in the lower left near the floor. Easy access by removing the front covers then remove the two mounting screws to the pump assy. Then remove the intake and output hoses. I noticed on the new pump a male hose bib on the intake. Supplied with the dishwasher was the smooth intake water tube. Best to not reuse this supplied hose. It just won't clamp tight enough for a good seal. Cut a portion from a garden hose the same size as the intake valve bib...

0e drainage error code Christopher L. • Walnut Creek , CA • February 24, 2015
So all of a sudden the dishwasher stops working, "0E error"on the panel. Did some google searches and found that it might be the filter, which I did not know needed to be changed, or worse, the motor. Took the filter off per online tutorial (easy) and mopped up all the stagnant water. Poking around, I find the small rubber check valve that has broken. Had to fish it out with tweezers. Long story short, it was not the motor and I doubt it was the filter. It was this $1.87 rubber drainage...

Main wash motor froze and then burned out the controller too i had to buy a new motor so the completely assembled sump with all motors and valves and heating element was a real steal for +$10 Mike K. • Fort Collins , CO • May 01, 2015
I bought a new controller first and installed it. The exact replacement controller was no longer available and I had to modify two AC connectors that changed from 3 pins with two wires to two pins with two wires. This was not expected but I made it work just fine by getting the three pin connectors on the cable to fit the two pin by breaking out the center web in the board two pin and then shaving off the raised key plastic on the wires. Then on power up, I found that the wash motor did not...

I had the smell of burning insulation followed by failure to drain the dishwasher seemed to cycle ok Dan G. • El Dorado , CA • November 17, 2014
Took the washer out, turned it over and found the solenoid that worked the drain valve to be melted, and the shaft that the solenoid activates was heavily corroded. I found the right parts on your website after reading the notes left by other customers, then watched the video. The repairs were fairly simple and successful. This was a GE profile dishwasher.

Error code "over fill" (flashing 'smart auto' and 'heavy' lights) cycle doesn't start in time for water to reach over fill sensor Patrick H. • Conyers , GA • May 19, 2015
Here's what the problem was:
Started the 'Normal' cycle... I closed the door... it calls for water, water fills, ECS sensor doesn't kick it to the next segment of the cycle (wash), so the water over-fills and reaches the over-fill sensor.
So many other are replacing the plastic 'case-brake,' main board, and the ECS sensor. I, however, was able to get by with just the ECS sensor replacement, which is known to be a faulty design by Samsung, supposedly.
The idea is replace the (1) most common...

Error code oe each drain cycle would start and stop with faint squealing noises; not fully draining at end of cycle. Rhyne K. • Jensen Beach , FL • May 16, 2018
First determined drain discharge hose was clear. Turned of power to dishwasher. I did not find it necessary to remove the dishwasher. I simply removed the lower service panel at the floor and was able to easily remove the defective pump, unplug it, replace the small rubber check valve flapper before the pump inlet and reinstall the new pump assembly.
The dishwasher surprisingly cleans and runs quietly like new again although I found no excuse for the pump failure as it is well designed. Never...

Runs but will not fill with water Michael K. • Las Vegas , NV • January 25, 2020
I first installed the inlet pump with no results. I then ordered a Control Switch and Float and Nut. This fixed the problem. Everything comes out so clean. I also replaced the filter which allowed me to clean debris around old filter. It is also easier to replace all these parts with the dishwasher pulled out and tilted on its side. I had to pull mine out to unplug power to the dishwasher.

Failed drain pump Russell P. • Gold Canyon , AZ • October 07, 2016
I drained the dishwasher by hand, disconnected power, water, and drain under the sink. I removed the screws holding the dishwasher in place. I located the pump with the online owners manual and removed it leaving the power connected. I put the machine on the rinse cycle and then hit cancel, the pump is supposed to come on, it didn't, I tried it twice, each time it would start if I manually started it spinning. So I ordered a new drain pump and reversed the removal procedure. Everything worked...

Kitchenaid dishwasher kudp02frss2 leak at float switch at front right of unit Richard B. • Mahwah , NJ • December 02, 2016
Removed bottom cover, located leak at float switch, removed and replaced float switch kit.
The toughest part of the repair was removing the Float & Retainer Assembly (in the interior of the machine tank) which broke when I pushed it back and pulled it straight up as suggested in the service manual. The Float Switch Kit (attached to, and below the float, below and outside the tank) has a folding plastic cover which fastens with plastic clips. If you open the switch kit before removing the...
