Washer won't drain or shows OE error? This drain pump assembly removes water during spin cycle. Moderate DIY repair with video guide available.
It was fairly obvious that the washer drainer motor had failed, water was not draining, filter was clean (bottom lower left panel door, have a pail ready!) and drain line was not blocked. Someone had provided great advice on the Appliance Parts Pro's site about replacing the drain motor from the bottom. Great suggestion! Easy to do, although be prepared for more water to drain from the washing machine onto the floor after you lay it over. I carefully lowered the machine onto it's back,... Read more

Seals between inner and outer tubs to prevent water leaks during wash cycles. Replace if you notice leaks or after bearing replacement. Verify fit.
Repair went fairly smoothly by following the EXCELLENT how-to video provided. I had only a few issues and suggestions. 1. Because many of the screws and fasteners are of multiple sizes, I would recommend laying them out in a muffin tray or on a paper with labels for where they go back. 2. After removing the weights and prepping to remove the shock absorbers, after the front ones were removed, the tub tilted so far the rear shock absorber separated. The friction pads fell out. It was easy... Read more

Fix DE error codes and door lock failures with this washer door lock switch. Most DIYers complete this repair in under an hour with our video guide.
Superfast parts delivery. Got packages by the second day. Videos were extremely helpful and well done; we couldn't have done without them although we came across slight differences in our machine and found workarounds. Our machine did not drain the water so I drained the water manually via drain tube at bottom of the machine and checked the filter for blockage. All clear so I read articles on the internet and watched videos and took a chance on replacing the drain pump and circulating motor... Read more

Shock absorber kit reduces vibrations and stabilizes the drum during wash cycles. Replace if worn, leaking, or causing excessive movement and noise.
Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. It's amazing we had still been able to wash clothes at all! With the help of the excellent... Read more
Fix LE error codes and spinning problems with this washer rotor position sensor. Resolves machines that won't spin or make loud noises. Easy 5-10 minute fix.
I watched the Appliance Parts Pro video and saw that it was a job that I could easily do. I ordered the Rotor Position sensor switch for about $21 on a Monday and it was delivered by UPS on Wednesday. The process was straight forward: 1) remove the back cover from the washing machine (4 screws), 2) remove the main bolt holding the magnetic drum on the motor; 3) remove the 6 bolts holding the coil on the motor; 4) remove the ground screw and wire harness clamp screw; 5) take the old sensor... Flexible drain hose assembly that carries wastewater from your washer to the household drain. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged during installation.
I found a video, by another parts vendor, that showed in detail how to dismantle and repair the washer. I wouldn't have known how to even get to the problem without that repair video. Dismantling the washer was easy once I knew how, but would have been like a (litteral) Chinese puzzle without the video. Once I had cracked open the machine and identified the problem, the repair was easy. I ordered from Appliance Parts Pros because they offered next-day delivery of parts. I had the washer back... Replacement tub to pump hose for washers. Transports water from the wash tub to the drain pump. Replace if cracked, split, leaking, or damaged from wear.
First and foremost, much thanks to APP for perfect transaction, and incredible price! The part was shipped quickly, and arrived fast. Immediate Availability of the part was outstanding, and truly saved this Canadian's day! See, in Canada, LG has their own unfair practice of NOT ALLOWING a Canadian citizen to purchase ANY functional parts for any of their appliances or products... furthermore, in order to get the part for any issue, you must pay directly for an LG direct service tech to come at... Connects detergent dispenser to washer tub. Replace if cracked, leaking, or clogged with detergent buildup. Verify fit with your model number.
****** always make sure the unit is fully unplugged from the power before you do anything with the outside of the unit to work inside of the unit and while you are working inside the unit... Also make sure that you turn the hot and cold water intake valves off and make sure you don't pull too much on the two water intake hoses that lead to your washer because they can leak with too much pressure exerted on either end******* 1. Took top off unit by unscrewing mounting brackets at two similar... Read more
Secures the outer door gasket to prevent water leaks during wash cycles. Replace if rusted, corroded, or the seal isn't holding tight. Confirm fit with model.
The repair was fairly straight foward as shown in the video. However, driving the shaft from the bearings took some doing. It required replacing the use of the board with a spare bolt and a 2lb hand sledge. (having an air hammer as reserve, also not a bad idea) I rated this reair as a "1" however I've been an auto mechanic for 40 years. If you do not have good general mechanical ablities you may find this more challenging as you get it further apart. I suggest anyone making this repair should... Read more

Washer not filling or overfilling? This water level pressure switch monitors water levels and signals when to stop filling. Easy 10-minute DIY repair.
The LG Model LG Washer model WM2487HRMA ISSUE: Washing Machine was filling very slowly. Overnight it would fill about 1 or 2 gallons. I would clear the tub by pushing a) Power b) set spin to None c) push Start. That would empty the tub. REPAIR SOLUTION: That did not solve the problem. Second, I replaced both the single (1) Water inlet valve assembly Part Number:5220FR2006H and also the Water Level pressure switch Part Number:6601ER1006E That solved the problem. I can't tell you which... Read more
