Causes of a bad Ice Auger Gear Motor can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical issues that prevent the motor from receiving power, or mechanical problems that hinder the motor's ability to turn the auger.
Symptoms of a bad Ice Auger Gear Motor include:
- The ice dispenser not working or dispensing ice very slowly.
- A humming or grinding noise coming from the ice dispenser mechanism.
- Ice not being dispensed at all, despite there being ice in the bin.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.
