Replaces worn or leaking shock absorbers that cause excessive vibration and wobbling during spin cycles. Restores stability and smooth operation.
My washing machine was making a loud thumping sound and bouncing around a bit. Research suggested that it could be bearings and/or the spider shaft assembly. After watching the instruction videos to replace the spider or bearings, I seen you need to replace both the shaft seal and tub gasket to get to the spider and bearings. So I ordered both and waited for them to arrive. Plan was to disassemble the washer, determine what was needed, order the additional parts needed, and reassemble after the... Read more

Normally, I hire someone to come fix washer or dryer problems as time is limited and if the cost is close or more than the machine, I buy a new one instead. But since we are on shelter-in-place, I figure I could repair it since I have more time on my hands and my brother assured me, it was not hard to do. I took the top panel, door off and then looked online to find a service manual, which allowed me to take the front panel off. My suspected drain hose was the failure mode: the rubber tube... Washer not filling with water or showing 4E error? The water inlet valve controls flow into your machine. DIY repair in 15-40 minutes with video guide.
I found a youtube video about replacing the hot water valve in a Samsung washer. It looked pretty easy. I had been very satisfied with an earlier order from AppliancePartsPros.com, so I ordered this part on Sunday after 9PM, standard delivery, hoping to get the part by the end of the week. I was flabbergasted to receive the part TUESDAY MORNING! Wow! I followed the instructions in the youtube video exactly. It took around 15 minutes, because I was being very careful not to drop screws in... Read more
Fixes loud banging, vibration, and thumping during spin cycle. Major repair requiring tub removal. Video guide available. Takes 3-4 hours for DIYers.
Washer is 8 years old. The spider arm was significantly corroded and shedding chunks which blocked the drain pump. If you find what looks like slate rocks in the drain pump, you've likely got this problem. Disassembly was not difficult. There are many screws. Keep track of where they go. You have to remove the drum which means rear, top and front panels come off, including the bracket across the front that holds the control panel. None of this was difficult; only time consuming to keep track... Read more
Replaces cracked or broken spider and shaft assembly that supports the inner drum. Installs inside washer tub. Needed when assembly has failed.
Luckily happen to be walking by when machine started to make "grinding" noise as washer tub started to hit plastic tub. Assuming by shutting down machine, prevented any more damage. Aside from noise, when we opened door, tub appeared "crooked" tilted back a lot further then normal. When we removed the rubber door seal, could spin drum and hear and see the wobble and grinding. Internet told us the possibilities and so we proceeded to break down the machine. A drill with Philips bit and... Read more

Replacement mounting bolt for washer counterweights. Secures balance weights to drum assembly. Order when bolt is broken, stripped, or missing.
I took apart the washer to find both of the weight balancers had broken in 2 and were banging around. They had also caused the boot seal to rip. I removed the broken weight balancers and replaced them along with a new boot seal. There was one small spot with the seal wasn't fully attached to the outer drum so I had to take it back apart to fix that minor error on my part. Otherwise, it was a fairly easy fix. Read more
Replace your washer door boot seal if you notice water leaking from the door area. This rubber gasket creates a watertight seal around the door opening.
Ordered a new outer door seal and watched their video before replacing. Easy to follow the video and it took me less than 30 min to complete repair. A small amount of diluted dishwashing liquid on the new seal lip makes the install much easier. Read more
Fix excessive vibration and loud spinning noise in your washer. Balance ring assembly stabilizes the drum during spin cycles. Advanced DIY repair.
With all the bouncing around the shocks appeared to be done in but that was not the issue. The key was the balance ring. It had leaked all the fluid out causing all the beads to clump. This caused the drum to wobble wildly and not spin at speed. Getting to the ring to replace it is not a trivial task and took me several hours. Would have been much easier with help as the drum is quite heavy. The on-line video's are very handy and should be watched before attempting this job to save you a... Read more

Fix a washer that won't fill with water or leaks onto the floor. This water inlet valve controls water flow into your machine. DIY repair in 10 minutes.
The Cold Water Inlet Valve had a very good You Tube Video and I followed it. One note of caution, as I chuckled at the guy on the video saying watch for sharp edges, he was correct. When removing one of the lines from the valve, my pliers slipped and my elbow hit the front of the machine(inside edge) and cut my elbow. So after that I draped the edges with towels to avoid that happening. Again the fix was easy and very straight forward from the video. No extra pearls of wisdom here. Total... Read more
