Burner only worked on high Thom R. • Bowdoin , ME • February 12, 2016
If one control starts to fail the rest are sure to follow soon - so I replaced all four on our JennAir S160. Looked up the parts on line. Due to my background as an aviation electrician in the Navy and then working as an electrical systems designer for a defense contractor the toughest part was the clean up. Oh Well.

Burner in glass top range control only has off or full on modes Edward A. • Brookfield , WI • August 11, 2015
Based on internet search and data found on APPLIANCE PARTS PRO, I deduced that the "infinite control " module was most likely bad. Replaced it and all is good.
Toughest part was remembering how to disengage cooktop from down draft blower and then pulling the cook top up in within it's opening. Once pulled up, I put short 2x4's across the opening corners to support the cooktop safely while I worked on it. Next issue was figuring out exactly which screws held the glass top in place. As...

Certain buttons were'not working Brent T. • Easton , MD • November 17, 2014
One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! Did a little homework and found this website, spoke with knowledgable staff who pointed me in the right direction. Took me all of about 20 minutes to install new control panel..everything works perfect...THANKS!
p.s. In doing my research come to find Maytag did little to insulate control panel from oven...

Hinges were weak Don M. • Colchester , VT • December 31, 2016
Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair.

Burned contact spade Charles M. • Fairburn , GA • May 26, 2016
Took apart the burner unit and replaced burned spade. Did not need the receptacle, so returned it, but did have to order the contact and lead wire that burned out in it, and what really caused the whole problem. That will be covered in another repair note for that part.

Stove downdraft stopped working Robert B. • Gaithersburg , MD • March 08, 2016
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business.
