String Trimmer Carburetor

This is a genuine replacement carburetor float designed to work with a range of small engines on lawn mowers, snow throwers, lawn tractors, and other equipment. The carburetor's job is to blend air and fuel to ensure that the engine can operate. A carburetor float helps control the flow of fuel, ensuring the proper level of fuel in the chamber. Carburetor floats are not subject to wear and tear type damage, but they are exposed to caustic gasoline and oxygen, as well as high heat. Over time, they degrade and will need to be replaced. If the engine continually floods and will not remain running, it could be that the carburetor float needs to be replaced. Replacing the carb float will require removing the airbox and cover, the air filter base, the fuel line, and the fuel linkage. Clean the carburetor and then remove the bowl. Remove the damaged float and replace it with a new one. Note that it's recommended to replace the carburetor gaskets at this time, too. This is an OEM replacement carburetor float, and it is sold individually. It works with Tecumseh, Toro, Lawn-Boy, Cub Cadet, MTD, and other brands.

The primer base assembly holds the primer that is responsible for injecting fuel into the carburetor to assist in starting the engine. The assembly includes a seat for the primer and the connection to create the flow. With regular use, the primer and the assembly can wear down or even break completely. Be sure to disconnect the spark plug and wear gloves when doing engine repairs. This primer base assembly is manufactured to exact standards by Zama and is designed for use in several models of 2-cycle engines. This part may also be compatible with string trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and pole pruners made by Echo, Shindaiwa, and Zama.
