Ge Lower Door Gasket
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WD08X10062

The Lower Door Gasket is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. It forms a seal around the bottom of the dishwasher door to prevent leaks and contain heat, moisture, and harsh detergent within the wash chamber.

Causes of a bad gasket can include cracking, warping or tearing of the rubber seal over multiple usage cycles and exposure to hot washing conditions.

Symptoms of a bad lower door gasket include:

  • Puddles or pools of water around the base of the dishwasher
  • Standing water inside nearby cabinets or on the floor
  • An ineffective or steamy seal around the dishwasher door
  • Visible cracks, holes, or deformation of the gasket material

This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Tub gasket was worn out and needed replacement.   Raymond W. • Lompoc , CA • December 04, 2017

I ordered a new gasket from AppliancePartsPros.com. It was very reasonable and came within a few days. The old gasket was worn out and catching on the lower dishrack as it was being pushed in causing the gasket to be dragged out of it's seat. This is partially due to the design of the dishwasher where the gasket is mounted on the tub rather than the door. Upon inspection the gasket was obviously cracked and not seating correctly which exacerbated the interference issue with the lower dishrack.... Read more

Ge Flood Switch Seal (Dishwasher)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WD01X10264

This dishwasher flood switch seal sits around the flood/leak switch to create a watertight barrier at the switch opening. Replacing a cracked or flattened seal helps stop under-unit drips and keeps leak detection working properly.

  • Forms a watertight seal where the flood switch mounts
  • Helps prevent water from entering the base pan
  • Common signs include water under the unit or visible wear on the old seal
What's included: One flood switch seal. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
  • Remove the toe-kick; pull the unit forward if needed to access the flood switch
  • Release the flood switch, remove the old seal, and seat the new seal evenly—do not overtighten
  • Reassemble and run a short fill/rinse while checking closely for leaks

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The motor pump assembly seized up and was inoperable the flood sensor was leaking and overflowing through the door   Tim D. • Knoxville , TN • December 06, 2018

Thanks to appliancepartspros.com the dishwasher was able to be repaired quickly and under budget. I removed the motor pump assembly and replaced it. I was also able to change out the faulty flood switch and replace the seals to stop the leak. The appliance is once again good as new and ready to run a new load of dishes. Read more
