Nancy January 16, 2013 for Model Number FRS6LF7FBO I ordered an ice actuator and we installed it and when we put the ribbon back into the board the ice dispenser stays on. Any suggestions on what it could be?
1 Answer Hello Nancy, You will want to double check to make sure that nothing is causing switch to be ingaged and causing icmaker motor to run. If this checks ok then you my either have a bad ribbon connector 241680002 or control board 241708202. Read More...
Greg October 08, 2012 for Model Number Frigidaire FRS6LF7GS3 The icemaker and water both work. The only issue is that the ice maker will NOT dispense any ice. Any suggestions as to why it won't dispense ice. Please note that water is fine...it does dispense.
1 Answer Hello Greg, Try heating the auger motor with a hair dryer. These are bad to have condensation which freezes and seizes the motor. If this doesn't solve the issue, you will have to replace the auger motor 242221501. Also, be aware that the auger is left handed threads. In order to get it off, you have to rap on the wrench pretty hard to break the threads loose. Read More...
Jerry July 16, 2012 for Model Number Frigidaire Model# FRS6R4EB5 My Ice maker works fine, it dispenses both kinds of ice and makes more but the water dispenser does not
1 Answer Jerry, first check and make sure the water tank behind the crisper drawers is not frozen, and the filter wfcb is not clogged. Then press the water dispenser paddle. listen closely, for the actuator switch 241689106 to "click" , no click would indicate a faulty switch. If alls OK, you'd need to suspect the water inlet valve 242252702 Read More...
1 Answer Hello Dude. You will need to check the compressor and see if it is running on the unit. If there is power coming to the compressor, and the unit is not running, you will need to check and see if the relay/overload 297237702 is bad on the unit. If it rattles or is burnt, or has a burnt smell to it, you will need to replace the start device on the unit. You must also order and replace the wiring harness 297177300 on the unit to install the starting device. You can also test the compressor on the unit as well. 1 Answer Kofig, There are several things to check, Make sure the freezer temp is 0 to 5 dgrs.F. and that there is plenty of water pressure to the fill valve from the water supply. If you have a water filter in the fridge or and inline filter, check and replace that as well. The part you have listed will not have a lot to do with your issue. If anything you may need an icemaker assembly 5304458371. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Brenda July 11, 2011 for Model Number FRS26HF7BB2 My ice maker is stuck in crushed ice mode. There was an answer to the same question and it suggested to change out the switch board, and the solenoid assembly do I really need to change out all 3? If I order all 3 parts and I change out 1 part at a time and it works can I return the others? What do you recommend.
1 Answer Hi Brenda. I would consider first cleaning and drying all of the ice bin assembly, and bin rail assembly. If ice cubes have overfilled the bin and jammed any moving parts, then you will have issues. I would replace solenoid assembly part # 241675704 first. Making sure that your control rod works freely to engage and to disengage the crusher teeth as needed. Yes, whatever parts you have not used have a 365 return policy. Thank you. Read More...
