Lisa I for Model Number GLTF2940FSI

Hello I have a Frigidaire front load Washer Model number GLTF2940FSI that is having a hard time maintaining its final spin. I have received the error code E47 but can't seem to find a place to search using that info just the option to search for the part needed and I have no clue what part that is :) After the washer attempts to spin (it moves side to side but never completes the full turn) it then turns off with 8 minutes remaining. I have 6 kids and desperately need my washer so please any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you so very much!

Lisa, The E47 error code indicates that the board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin. To test you will remove door lock assembly and measure the resistance of th PTC. If shorted or open then replace the door lock assembly 131763256 and if it reads around 1500 ohms then replace main control 137006000.

Bucek, The most likely issue is the motor control board 134743500, It may be as simple as a loose connection and the motor, motor control board or the machine control board 137005000NH.If you're sure the door locks and the washer drum drains, thats where you need to start. Thanks

Dave for Model Number FTF2140ES3

I just replaced the control board because of a E43 fault code. (unit shuts off when turned to normal wash cycles) New control board immediately starts beeping and the right side 5 led lights keep flashing 9 times (with the beeper). I cannot get this to stop, nor will it go into diagnostic mode. Other than a "beep", I get no response from any button pushed. I have checked and rechecked all wires and pins/terminals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Dave, There seems to be some controversy over the fault codes. Some are claiming it is the fault of the individual reading the codes and others say it is the fault code list being wrong from the manufacturer. Regardless of who is at fault, the problem seems to be that while the fault code says to replace the control board, the door lock assembly should be tested to make sure it isn't the cause of the issue. If it tests out good, the control board in the bottom of the machine which is referred to by Frigidaire as the speed controller, is the board that should be replaced. As I said, the control board should not be replaced until the cheaper part is tested. Testing it is as follows: Access the door lock assembly and measure the resistance of the wax motor on the assembly. You will need a resistance meter to test it. If it reads 1500 ohms, give or take 10%, then its fine, and the problem would be the speed controller, (control board in the bottom of the unit).

Hello Denis, You need to open the main top of the unit and check to see if you have power to the J14 terminals C2,1 and C2,2. There should be 120Vac here as this is where the ac voltage is supplied to the control. If the voltage is there, you will need to replace the main control board 137005000NH. If it isn't, replace the power cord 5304505407.

Hello Jai. It sounds like you either have an issue with the water valve not filling the unit, or the door lock assembly is bad and will need to be replaced. Check and see if the valve is not filling the unit with cold water. If the valve is working properly, and the drain pump is working properly, you will need to replace the door lock assembly 131763256 on the unit.

Hello Kelly. Check and make sure the filter in the hose attached to the pump is not clogged and preventing the pump from running. If not, and the drain hose is not clogged, you will need to order and replace the pump 137221600 on the unit. Hope this helps.

Doug, when it comes to a communication error between the board (E95) the motor control 134743500 is usually the culprit. If you're sure you have no loose connections or corrosion on the connectors at either board, The motor control is where to start. Thanks and Good Luck
