William September 27, 2019 for Model Number fer500ww The infinite switch advertised is not the same as the one on my stove. All the proper information is correct except the replacement switch which seems to be the only one available and is missing 1 connecting point. I have 8 wires and only 7 connecting points.
1 Answer William, the infinite switch DG44-01002A is an updated switch specified by the manufacturer for your model. Based on the manufacturer's information, this switch will have 8 connection points. Based on the manufacturer's data, there is a two-terminal connector at connection 2, one terminal on each corner at the connection 4, one terminal at 4A, one terminal at S2, one at P2, one at S1, and one at P1. William June 27, 2019 for Model Number FE-R500WW I have a 9 connection dg44-01002a dual element switch in my samsung stove. All the replacement switches sent to me and returned from a variety of Samsung parts depots, only have 7 connecting poi tsbut I have 8 connections on my existing switch. Can someone suggest what to do with the extra wire? I figure I can leave off the one to a light that designates whether it is the small burner or the large. Any answers? There are no dual connection points on the new switch just 7 singles.
1 Answer William, the infinite switch DG44-01002A should have 9 terminals on it and it is recommended that all of the wires be plugged in due to safety risks with leaving a wire disconnected. Read More...
James June 13, 2019 for Model Number FTQ3531WUX On my right front burner, when turning the control knob to the 'LO' side, the inner burner cycles properly. When turned to the 'HIGH' side the inner & outer burners come on and stay on. They never cycle, they just get hotter & hotter. Which part do you believe that is? TYIA
1 Answer James, more than likely the cycling contact in the infinite switch DG44-01002A is weak and not allowing the element to cycle when the amp draw of both the inner and outer coils are present for both to heat. You may want to test the resistance of the element to ensure that it has not been impacted from this issue. At the switch, if you test the inner coil from the violet wire to the gray wire at connection 2, the reading should be between 42 to 48 ohms. The outer coil can be tested from the orange wire at connection 4A to the gray wire at connection 2 and should read 45 to 50 ohms. Read More...
Lisa February 09, 2019 My Samsung Electic range 2 front burners have the problem. When I turn the knob on high, it might turn on high for a second, then it gets cooler, I need to constantly move the knob to try and get it on high. It seems that the male part connected to stove is looser on the front burners than the back burner knobs. I took off the knobs and switched the front and back burners, but the front burners never stay high for a long time
1 Answer Lisa, the infinite switch on the electric range is what opens and closes to send power to the element. When the switch no longer manages the temperature correctly, the switch would need to be replaced. Read More...
Brent February 07, 2019 for Model Number Samsung Stove - FTQ386LWX 01 I purchased a replacement Dual Infinite Burner Switch Energy Regulator, part DG44-01002A for my samsung stove. The burner(s) stayed on high. The part received (Robertshaw) has the same part number but is missing one of the connectors/tab where one of the wires connects to. It does not look broken, it's just not there. At the back of the regulator, each connector/tab is given a reference ID (2), (P1), (S1), (P2), (S2), (4A) and (4). The original regular has two tabs at the reference location (4). My new regulator only has one tab at the reference location (4). Any suggestions/fix? Thanks
1 Answer Brent, the switch [DG44-01002A] should have two connections, one on each side of the corner where connection 4 would be. Read More...
Lyrian January 21, 2019 for Model Number DG44-01002A Hello, my Samsung front right dual burner was running on high for both the inner and full element sides of the knob. I ordered this replacement part and connected the contacts the same as the previous broken regulator. It seems to work for a few seconds running at a lower temperature when set to low on either side and high and set to high on either side. Sadly it seems to click off after a few seconds as if it's reached its desired temperature but it doesn't turn back on. If I turn the knob setting up it will click back on but click back off shortly after. What could cause this? Note that the only difference between the parts I ordered and the original was an Invensys. The new one has a Robert Shaw branding on it. The part number is accurate though. It's the same.
1 Answer Lyrian, there is a sensor on the element itself that may be malfunctioning. You may want to check the element to make sure that there aren't any failures within the element assembly. Read More...
Loretta October 02, 2018 for Model Number FE710DRS/XAA Is there a different part number for a regulator on a dual burner than on a triple or single burner?
1 Answer Loretta, , In your case with the model number you supplied, Yes there are different switches for the different burner elements. The DG44-01001A / DG44-01001A is a 5 terminal switch-and operates the "single" burner element. The DG44-01002A / DG44-01002A is a 7 terminal switch-and operates the "dual" burner element. Then, the DG44-01003A / DG44-01003A is a 11 terminal switch, also called a energy regulator switch, for the "triple" burner element. Thanks, Read More...

Mellisa October 20, 2017 for Model Number FTQ353IWUX/XAA-0000 Both dual burners are staying on high heat regardless of setting. Based on my model number what part do I need?
1 Answer Hello Mellisa, This is most likely caused by the infinite switches. Since both of the dual elements are controlled by the same part number infinite switch DG44-01002A, two will need to be ordered. Read More...
Rusty July 22, 2017 for Model Number NE59J3420SS/AA The dual front burner unit on our Samsung glass top stove will only heat the larger ring outside but not the smaller ring inside. would that likely be the element or the regulator
1 Answer Rusty, You're on track on target, it's most likely a contact problem in the infinite switch / regulator DG44-01002A / DG44-01002A, start there. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
