Gil March 05, 2015 for Model Number MDB7749AWM1 None of the lights on the left side cycles will come on or do their function. Most of the right side lights will toggle off and on, except for the run button. I've reset the breaker, reset the control board; and when I first power it back on, I hear some humming noise for about 30 seconds, then all quiet and no action. what do you think?
1 Answer Hello Gil. You will need to order and replace the control panel W10811151 on the unit. Read More...
Mike December 04, 2014 for Model Number Mdbh979aws3 My Maytag dishwasher quit working. I replaced the thermal fuse on the control board. It works, but now it stops mid cycle and the stop/resume button flashes. Press the button and it starts up, but stops again and again gotta start it several times until done. Is it the control board?
1 Answer Hello Mike. That sounds like the ribbon cable or the control panel is bad on the unit. Try reseating the ribbon cable. If it still does it, then replace the control panel on the unit. Read More...
Ezz November 25, 2014 for Model Number Maytag MDBH979AWS4 Great website! My Maytag dishwasher will not run. I can select modes, and heat settings and see the indicator lights turn on. However, start and resume fail to light. I checked all the connectors on the main board and attempted to run again. I did start, but after 30 seconds ALL lights lit up and it stopped running. I have since then unplugged it. What do you think it is?
Ken October 02, 2014 for Model Number MDB7749AWM2 The dishwasher won't start. The control panel buttons on the left (CYCLE) won't light when pressed. All buttons on the right side light when pressed except for the start and cancel pad. I replaced the door latch which works fine. Do I need a control board or control panel?
1 Answer Ken, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control panel rather than a faulty control board. The part number for the control panel is W10811151. Read More...

Mike September 07, 2014 for Model Number MDB6709AWW1 S/N FO2306659 Stop working suddenly-checked all electrical OK. Door switch seems to be working OK. No lights in control panel. Suggestions Thanks
1 Answer Hello Mike. You need to check the thermal fuse W10258275 in the unit and see if it is bad and needs to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Deb June 08, 2014 for Model Number MDB7749AWM2 Unit quit working suddenly. Everything lights up when you press the button. "Clean" light has been blinking ever since it stopped working. When we press the Cancel button it sounds like it is trying to drain the unit. There is no water in it. We have checked door latch switch and it checks out ok. Unit still not starting. Is this the electronic control or control panel. I have tried switching off breaker and that didnt help either. But the Clean light has been blinking ever since it quit working. (steady blink) Thank you
1 Answer Hello Deb, When the clean light flashes it can only mean one of two things. It can mean that a button is stuck and the control panel is in need of replacement or it can mean that the heating circuit has failed. The way to tell which has happened is that if the heating circuit has failed, the clean light will flash seven times with a pause and then flash seven times with a pause, etc. If this is the case, you need to troubleshoot the heating circuit. There are five components: the heating element, the high limit thermostat, the door switch, the control, and the wiring harness. There should be a tech sheet behind the kick panel which will show the wiring diagram. This should enable you to shoot through the circuit with an ohm meter. If it reads open from the control board, you will need to test each component individually. I have found that if the unit is solidly mounted under the counter top and is properly leveled, the heating element is the most common part to fail. Read More...
Angelo May 19, 2014 for Model Number MDB7609AWW2 Dishwasher does not turn on. All lights on panel except start & cancel light when pressed. Tried resetting dishwasher same results. Do I need to replace timer with part w10298356. Thank you
1 Answer Angelo, If the control lights are not coming on except the start and cancel light then the issue will most likely be caused by a faulty control panel. Read More...
Thomas April 07, 2014 for Model Number mdb7749awm2 I can select anything on the control panel and it will light up but neither the start nor the cancel button will work. The start button worked with multiple pushes a week ago but not at all now. Is that the panel or the control board?
