Ted for Model Number MHW2000AWW

Hello, I have a Washer: Lower Unit Model No. MHW2000AWW with Serial No. 10201681UM which I believe was manufactured in June of 1998. I got it used and was able to get it to spin after the rinse once and now it will not. I did give off a very slight burnt wire type of smell before it stopped working. The door lock light still works properly. Can you tell me which control board I need to replace and where it is located on the unit? Thank you for your help. Ted

Hello Ted. Check and see if the R-11 resistor is burnt out on the control board in the top of the dryer cabinet. If so, you will need to replace the wax motor and the control board WP22004325. If it is good, check and see if the out of balance switches are good in the machine and the wires going to them. If so, you will need to replace the motor kit 12002039. Hope this helps.

Teresa for Model Number MAH6500AWW

Neptune Washer had a code on it this past weekend LR (looked at paper in back of washer) says locked rotor. Washer would not go thru the spin cycle kept making a clicking sound. Had the motor tested everything was fine, so looked at the motor control board and noticed an area top and bottom with a burned mark on it. Looked into this via internet and says that the control board works with the spin cycle of the washer. Please let me know if this is the case, and what part # I would need to purchase for the control board. Serial#24886768CC. Thank you

Hello Terry. There could be several parts causing this issue. First, you would want to check your motor and the motor control unit. These are the most common parts to fail to prevent a spin cycle. If you need more help, you can visit our repair forum and the technicians there could likely be of more assistance. I will include a link to the forum in this message. Hello Shirley! You will need to check to make sure all of the wiring to the out of balance switches are good. If they are good, replace the motor conversion kit 12002039. Hope this helps!
