Rriedel November 17, 2011 for Model Number ghw9400pl0 duet i've been getting an f-06 fault, hada service tech in, he ended up replacing the CCU a while back. since then the fault came back, i just put a motor in it from you, the fault is still present. i've checked the harness it's OK, the MCU shows 23 Kohm at the motor power leads, the motor shows 6 ohm. where do i go from here?
1 Answer Rriedel, Since you have a new motor and CCU, you probably have a loose connection in the harness or a faulty MCU W10756692. here are some voltage checks to make at the CCU to verify : at connector MS2 pin 1 and pin 2 should have 120 VAC, across the wires, going out to the MCU. MI3 connector pin 1 and 3 should have 5 VDC across the two wires coming back from the MCU. heres some meter usage information if you need it [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html] good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Handymanray November 15, 2011 for Model Number GHW9400PT4 Whirlpool Duet Washer I repeatedly get the F06 error code. The washer will run a few minutes into a cycle then stop. I have performed the continuity test on the motor and get a reading of 6 ohms on each pair of pins checked. Washer runs Diagnostic Test as described on data sheet with no problems. However, slightest load in basket causes it to stop and give error code. Please help - is this a bad MCU or is drive motor bad even though it tests as noted above?
1 Answer Hello Handymanray. If the motor is testing good, and the wiring harness is good, then it sounds like the MCU W10756692 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
John P. November 09, 2011 for Model Number 110.42926200 My Washer(drum)does does not turn. I set the cycle and it starts to poor the water. Debra October 04, 2011 for Model Number he5t washer F25 & F17 has retnred to my unit once again. Prevously I checked wires that may have been shorted or broken and found 2 wires. I fixed those, but F25 returned and my spin cycle doesnt work at all. Can you tell me if my MCU is bad or whatelse to look for. I also pushed down on the tub and the spin started just for 1 second then stopped. Any help would save my sanity. lol
1 Answer Hello Debra. If all the connections are good, and the code continues, ohm the motor and make sure it is around 6 ohms per terminal. If so, replace the MCU on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
1 Answer Hi Linda. You can test the motor and see if it is good. If you test across pins 1 and 2, and 2 and 3, and 1 and 3, you should have 6 ohms. If any of these read infinity, then the motor is bad. If the motor test good, you may have a bad MCU AP3861856. Debra September 28, 2011 for Model Number 11047789700 I have a HE5T washer. I didnt have any problems with my washer until I moved it to clean under it, and when I placed it back to wash a load F17 and F25 codes appear, in looking into the codes , there is no F17. The troubleshooting states that the Motor Control Unit may need replaced. What exactly am I looking for, the drive motor or the MCU?
1 Answer Hello Debra. You will need to look for a loose or broken wire. It sounds like when you moved the machine, something has loosened up. If it worked correctly before you moved it, it should be fine now. Hope this helps. Read More...
Robert August 13, 2011 for Model Number GHW9100LW1 Can you explain to me how to replace the drive motor assembly on my duet washer? Is it hard to do? Thank you so much for your time! Please reply.
1 Answer Hello Robert. The motors WP8182793 are not to hard to change out. Here are the instructions from the manufacture. Hope this helps. The drive motor can be removed once the back panel has been removed. Twelve screws secure the back panel to the washer. Remove the 12 screws and remove the back panel. Remove the Drive Belt. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors and ground wires from the drive motor terminals. Push the wiring harness tie from the motor mounting bracket. Remove the mounting bolt securing the motor to the tub and remove the motor. Reinstall in reverse order. Read More...
