Chuck April 30, 2014 for Model Number GGW9250PW0 I've changed the coils, thermal fuse, and the internal bias thermister on this model so far. It still lights up... runs for a minute or two and then the gas shuts off. What next? I have a thermst-fix here also new but haven't changed it yet. Would that possibly be the cause?
1 Answer Chuck, if your term "thermst-fix" means the hi limit thermostat W11050897 , it could be the issue. if you had an exhaust vent issue, it could be "weak" and cycling early. But, then it should reset and the ignition sequence should continue. But that doesn't sound like the issue. You may need to start checking for a loose wire connection, or loss of power or neutral to the gas valve, or timer. We're going to need a bit more information than what you've supplied so far in order to assist you properly. Thanks Read More...
Jammann January 27, 2014 for Model Number whirlpool cabrio wgd6200sw0 I have a whirlpool cabrio wgd6200sw0 gas dryer. I started smelling gas (natural) I soaped down the valve and flex connector . not it. I opened up the dryer and soaped down the burner assy. and found gas is able to leak out through the orfice. Tiny amount, but soap bubbles all the same. Is the burner assy. at fault or do the coils the problem. Please help my daughters thank you in advance
1 Answer Jammann, The issue would be internal to the gas valve WP8573072 a diaphragm or an internal plunger has failed and is allowing the gas to escape through the burner orifice. The supply of the gas valve is limited, so you will need to contact the APP Customer Sevice Team (1-877-477-7278) to verify availability and cost. Read More...
Tom K. August 21, 2013 for Model Number GGW9250PW0 I have a GGW9250pw0 Duet gas dryer configured for LP. I am looking to convert it back to Natural Gas. I ordered the Nat Gas Orifice, Limiter, Regulator and Spring. Do I need any additional parts? When installing the spring, limiter and regulator are these parts adjustable. Better said, are there any adjustments needed to be done to these parts (quarter turns, lining up marks etc..) or does it just get tightened down?
1 Answer Hello Tom! All you need is the orifice WP234826, limiter [AP3135346, regulator WP694423 and spring WP694422. As long as you ordered those parts, no other parts should be needed. The leak limiter and orifice will screw down. The spring and regulator you'll put in place. Flip the pin on the dryer regulator back to NG. Hope this helps you, thanks. Read More...
Rich July 31, 2013 for Model Number MGDB800VQO Why does my dryer keep blowing the high limit thermostat
1 Answer Rich, You will want to check the venting from the blower wheel all the way to the outside of the home to ensure that the vent is not restricted. Also check to make sure that the heater is not staying on which could be an indication that the cycling thermostat is faulty. Read More...
