Flexible gasket sealing washer door to drum, preventing leaks during cycles. Replace when torn, leaking, or showing mold buildup. Confirm fit.
Fixed by replacing the washer door seal "Bellows". Once again AppliancePartsPros comes through with the right part at a great price. It took quite some time to install because putting the inside spring back on the bellow was difficult so I needed to remove the top and front door of the washer to get better access. A set of 3 or 4 plumbing clamps are highly recommended to get that spring back on (I went to the store and bought some). If you search YouTube about replacing the bellows on your... Read more

Got the model number off the dryer. Looked it up online. I wanted name brand replacement part. Found this wonderful AppliancePartsPros.com. Looked up my model number, went to top control panel section, ordered the Start Switch. In ONE DAY I received it. Removed the back part of my dryer. Easily removed the broken part. (I did watch a video online). Put on the new Start Switch. Instead of ordering a new knob. I removed a knob from the dryer that I don't use. It turns a buzzer on or off to let... Read more

Fix a washer leaking from the top or filling when not in use. This water inlet valve controls hot and cold water flow. Easy 30-minute DIY repair.
It was really easy to fix. I just took a screw driver and gently pried up on the top of the clothes washer to open up the top. Then the mixing valve was easy to access. I removed the two screws holding and unplugged the the wires. And pulled the old one free. Then reversed the process to install the old one. Less than thirty minutes start to finish. Read more
Replace your washer's cracked or broken outer door panel. This white plastic cover protects the door frame and attaches at the hinge. Restores appearance.
I took the door assembly apart by removing the 7 screws on the inner door and the 2 on the striker. I removed the hinge from the washer so that I could place it inside the door when I put it back together. This is much easier then trying to reassemble the door while the hinge is attached to the machine. Once I lined up all of the pieces properly, I screwed it back together and remounted the striker. I then put the entire door back on the machine by screwing in the three screws that hold on... Read more
Fix a fridge that's not cooling or making loud airplane-like noises. This condenser fan motor kit circulates air through coils. 30min-2hr DIY install.
FIrst, I removed the cardboard cover on the back, exposing the compressor compartment. I noticed the fan was not moving. I touched the blade and it immediately started spinning, but not very fast. The compressor was getting hot, and I think prob. overheating. The fan stopped after a few hours and then "froze" solid the next day. I got the parts and I followed the process in the video to replace the fan. VIdeo was right on the money. but there were some difficulties. The retention clip on the... Read more

Refrigerator door hinge bearing provides smooth pivot action for proper door operation. Replace if door sags, sticks, or pops open. Confirm fit with your model number.
I put a piece of two-by-four, (2"x4") about 10-inches long on edge under the door to support the door. I removed the 3-bolts attaching the door hinge at the bottom corner. I then slid the washer onto the post and placed the bracket back in place with the 3-bolts. That did the trick. I used a 3/8-inch socket with extension and a ratchet. Read more

Fix F10 error codes and inconsistent oven temperatures with this sensor probe. Monitors internal temp for accurate cooking. Moderate DIY repair.
I replaced the probe which is a thermocouple. Naturally the connector was different from the one on the stove so I cut off the connector on the old probe and soldered it to the new probe. The cleaning of the wires and soldering them was the most time consuming activity of the repair. My wife just tried the stove and the oven temperature read exactly as the setting. Read more
Idler pulley assembly for dryers. Mounts on the idler arm to keep the belt aligned and tensioned. Replace if pulley is worn, cracked, or squeaking.
The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts. My DIY project included replacing the motor, blower, drum bearing, belt, and door hinge. The end result is a functional dryer with no left-over parts. Lack of parts and hardware challenged the effort. For example, the blower assembly did not have the slide capture for the motor. I had to use the old one which is showing its age. With the exception of the drum... Read more
