My washer would not complete the spin cycle and wring the water out of the clothes Lisa C. • Spring Lake , NC • March 12, 2014
I ran a diagnostics check on the washing machine and came up with the error code E47 -Board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin. The washer thought the door was open and would not finish the spin. I was left with a washer full of very wet clothes. This repair was SO extremely easy. I only needed to uses a pair of needle nose pliers and a screw driver. It took less than 10 minutes, start to finish. Now the new door lock assembly registers correctly and my clothes are completely...

My front loading washing machine would not drain. Meryl L. • Fort Thomas , AZ • October 26, 2020
So, Saturday, the washer wouldn't drain, yes, I tried the Drain/Spin cycle. So I took the clothes out, rinsed them out twice in the laundry sink and dried them. After a quick Google search, I came to the conclusion that the pump was bad and ordered a pump, $125.
Over the course of the next four days, expecting the new pump on Thursday, I baled out the washer, pulled it out from the wall and propped up the front (it's HEAVY), removed the front access panel, removed the drain inlet and outlet...

Very noisy then ultimately bearing failure and a broken shock mount Brian B. • Canton , NY • September 23, 2014
I watched the video posted by Jerrod Sessler on yellow van handyman.com. Then I had to unstack the dryer from the washer, remove all covers, disconnect all hose connections, shock mounts and springs and remove the tub assembly. Then I disassembled the tub assembly and remove seal and both bearings from the rear half. At this point I cleaned everything. I installed new bearings and seal, installed the basket and assembled both tub halves using a new gasket and silicone, and reinstalled the...

The mixing valve that the water hoses attach to had frozen and broken. John M. • Commerce , TX • April 05, 2014
It was really easy to fix. I just took a screw driver and gently pried up on the top of the clothes washer to open up the top. Then the mixing valve was easy to access. I removed the two screws holding and unplugged the the wires. And pulled the old one free. Then reversed the process to install the old one. Less than thirty minutes start to finish.

Severe banging during spin cycle Vince V. • Benson , AZ • March 03, 2019
With more difficulty and frustration than expected but it works fine now.
Things learned:
1. Order only 3 replacement pins. One comes with the shocks that you can't be sure you see in the picture.
2. A circuit board in a plastic box mounted to the floor, left rear, must be removed by two screws to be able to get pliers onto the head of the pin more easily. This helps installation too.
3. A 1/2" deep socket pushed onto the retaining tab of the pin stays there while you pull with pliers from the...

The front panel was broke due to pulling on it and not sliding the handle the front clamp rusted in two the bottom panel was rusted and the door boot seal looked terrible Daren R. • Garden City , GA • January 19, 2015
Watched the video a few times for door boot seal replacement. It was a lot of help! The spring is the hardest to replace and I did enlist the help of my wife. Everything went back on great. If you have to replace the front panel (with the buttons) be mindful that the buttons are spring loaded and will come out. I did not lose any and it went back together just fine. A little touch up paint on the washer and it all looks brand new and works great. And the parts came in quicker than...

Odor and mold Joel S. • Derry , NH • January 26, 2016
Our washing machine door boot seal was getting moldy and causing odor problems. Cleaning tablets and bleach weren't helping so it was time to be replaced. While I had the top and front off I changed all the hoses that could be collecting soap scum and mold, all other wetted parts were removed and washed. The video on the door boot seal, and inlet valve assembly were extremely helpful in understanding how these parts are removed and reassembled. Although the door boot seal is the most visible...

Grill on air duct had an item melt on to it and partially block air flow Charles C. • Orchard Park , NY • November 25, 2017
It was easy to find the part on appliance parts pros. Once I found it I studied the diagram and determined that there were 3 screws in the drum that needed to be removed. I disconnected power and then removed 3 interior screws. Once I did that I removed the back cover and removed the single screw on the bottom side of the air duct that held it in place connected to the heat tube.
I then reversed disassembly. I want to tell you this is a 2 person job. In order to assemble it you need to...

Washer was leaking Carolyn S. • Venice , FL • December 05, 2016
First of all, I want to say that this is not the first time that I have used AppliancePartsPros. They give you everything you need in the most simplified manner to repair your appliances at home. I ran my washer until I started to see the leak coming from underneath. After verifying that the intake hoses, drain hose and pump were not leaking, I opened up the washer from the top by unscrewing the two screws on the back brackets and lifting up and out. Because the leak was displaying at the...

Error code e90 on electrolux front loading washing machine Brian W. • Ceres , CA • October 04, 2015
Replaced control board. The repair was relatively straightforward, just swap out the board and connect all the wiring clips and light bulb thingees in the right places. The black shafts that connects the cycle selector dial to the rotary switch on the control board was a bit tricky--make sure everything is aligned. Also, my delay start button has a spacer that just fell out and has to be replaced carefully. Washer works perfectly now on all cycles. Thanks, Appliance Parts Pros!
