I originally ordered the Fan motor from a appliance dealer. I waited for 5 days for it to arrive. In the meantime I scavenge a motor from a junk refrigerator from the dump. It worked while I waited for the motor from the appliance dealer. When I picked it up 5 days later it was the "wrong" part. I was fuming mad. It was a pretty easy fix not as easy as the 1 nut models they show on YouTube it had 3 tiny ones that my big hands had a bit of trouble with. It said 15 minutes it took me about a half an hour. I called a service company just to see what they would charge. $90.00 to say hello 1 hour minimal labor $110.00 and $120.00 for the part. It cost me $90.00 and 30 minutes of my time. Walk into the kitchen on 21 Sep. Eight year old Frigidaire refrigerator appears to be short cycling, controls are nonfunctional. Unplug it for a few minutes, plug it back in, appears to return to normal function. Return to kitchen half hour 45 minutes later it's short cycling again. I replaced the damper and thermistor assemblies. I saw another story here that was just like mine. Damper door was shut and would not open. I opened it manually then it would close and not reopen when reinstalled. I replaced the suggested parts and all was good. All in all a simple do it yourself repair to save hundreds. Read more

I wasn't sure if it was the door being warped, the spring return being worn, or the rotary damper failing, so I ordered all to update the door mechanism. I also ordered a new micro switch since one of the switches had started to require more and more pressure to actuate. Figured I'd fix it at the same time. Got the six year old refrigerator from my daughter because of it freezing up but was in good ( Stainless Steel) shape to replace our 21 year old Kitchen Aid. The thermistor had been replaced as a cheap first step but didn't correct the problem as it totally froze over within five days. Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam. I had the original sensors in my Frigidaire, which were now about 18 years old. The water dispenser would work, but I would have to push in the lever and then draw it back until it found that "sweet spot." I finally got annoyed enough with the problem that I looked online. I almost purchased the dispenser actuator (the paddle), and glad I didn't because it was not the problem. • Light not working

Went to the Internet, entered the make and model number, read possible causes, viewed videos on fixes and determined it was probably the socket. Viewed the schematic to determine the correct part number. Ordered a new socket. Received it within three days and in less than 5 minutes replaced the light socket. Problem solved and the light now works. Appreciated the videos, ease in ordering and quick delivery. Read more
