We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue. We could not solve our dishwasher door issue after a number of other tries: Latch, Catch, Ropes that attach to the springs that pull the door closed. I tend to believe the solve could be different b/c all these things work together. But for us, we were skeptical that the hinge swap would work and we were very pleasantly surprised. Read more

They were extremely helpful and it was very fast and I got the parts the next day. Read more

Symptoms of a bad strike include:
Tried bending the strike to get a firmer grip, but no luck. Replaced the door latch and strike. Washer is about ten years old. You can feel the new catch has a more positive engagement. When you replace the strike, be sure not to tilt it downward in front. It will go in the way but it will keep the door from closing. Not sure I needed to replace the strike but didn't want to risk more downtime. Read more

A shout out to A.P.P.: Quality parts always come quickly and are what I ordered. No, they are not always the cheapest nor do they have all parts for everything (who does?) but their website is the easiest to use and cost differences are usually slight. I have found A.P.P. trustworthy and reliable for the ten or so purchases I've made. This repair process requires that the DW be completely free from cabinet sidewalls. For me that meant pulling the DW from its installed undercounter space. I... Read more

At this point I Googled the model number with the term "will not drain" and immediately landed on the AppliancePartsPros.com website. Color: Black. Screw for lower toe panel. For Biscuit screw use 3400865, for white screw use WP3400836.
I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage. So I had to replace both the panel and the frame. I ended up removing the electrical/electronic connections, removing the panel/frame from the hinge and then replacing it with the new parts. Took about 90 minutes but the hardest part was removing other items from the rusting frame without... Read more
This is an upper spray arm mount that is a part of many types of dishwashers. The upper spray arm mount attaches the water supply manifold to the spray arm. This ensures that the water moves from the manifold into the spray arm so it can be used to spray water across dishes during a cycle. If the upper spray arm mount becomes damaged or cracked, it can cause the upper spray arm to fall off. This could create additional damage so the upper spray arm mount should be replaced. If the upper spray arm mount needs to be replaced, it can be done with the help of a 5/16-inch screwdriver. First, make sure the dishwasher is unplugged and the water supply has been turned off. Open up the door to the dishwasher and locate the upper spray arm. The mount will be attached to it. Use the screwdriver to remove it and install the new part. This is an authentic OEM replacement part that is directly sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual component. Had to remove the screws that hold the dish washer to the counter top by knocking them out of the counter top. After seeing how the door handle worked I will not have to do again as all you have to do to open is stick a long screw driver up inside and push the chip and it opens. Ordered handle installed it now everything works fine. $29.00 for little plastic handle seems quiet rediculous but Kitchenaid and parts direct where $39.00 so I guess I got a bargain.
