The drain pump was not working properly Michael F. • Mountain Ranch , CA • January 28, 2015
I ordered the part from you which amazingly showed up less than 20 hours after I ordered it. I then watched a video you produced about replacing the part. Between those two things I had my dishwasher up and running withing 36 hours of talking to your rep.

This dishwasher door spring provides the counterbalance tension that lets the door open and close smoothly. Replacing a worn or broken spring restores proper door feel and helps prevent the door from dropping unexpectedly.
- Provides counterbalance tension so the door opens and closes smoothly
- Helps the door stay partially open without drifting
- Reduces slamming or sudden drop when opening
- Common failure signs: door feels heavy, drops quickly, opens unevenly, or a spring is visibly broken
What's included: 1 door spring Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water; remove the toe-kick/access panel
- Support the door; note spring routing and which frame holes are used before removal
- Install the new spring in the same holes; adjust hole selection only per service information to fine-tune tension
- Springs are under tension—wear gloves/eye protection; consider replacing both springs together for balanced operation

Note: New rack no longer includes removable tines or cup shelf. This part is a lower dishrack. The lower dishrack is the lower shelf of a dishwasher that holds plates, bowls, and utensils. To remove the old dishrack, simply pull it out and lift the wheels up from its track. Set it off the side, and lift the new dishrack. Slide it into its track and make sure it is locked in. If it is gliding in and out in a smooth way, it has been installed properly. This genuine replacement OEM part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpool brands include Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand appliances.

Flappers on docking station were worn out and/or missing also the pump filter fabric was torn so a new pump filter was installed as well Gregory P. • Mansfield , OH • January 01, 2017
Dishes were 'gritty' with an almost invisible coating of specks smaller than grains of salt. Prior to ordering parts, I had to determine which part(s) needed replaced and which could benefit from a good cleaning. After viewing Appliance Parts Pros YouTube Videos, I removed the Main Manifold (snaps right off) including the Top Spray Arm. I discovered the Flappers of the Docking Station (AP6009888) were worn out and/or missing. I removed the Docking Station simply by popping the old one off...

Heard intermittent grinding noise for maybe five seconds after it switched from fill to wash then later in cycles also David J. • Appleton , WI • March 15, 2015
Spun each of the three wash arms by hand. All could be made to touch/scrape but the top one was super wabbly. Ordered both the arm and clip. Repair took less than a minute. Used a screwdriver to pry loose one side of the old clip to remove. Aligned the new parts and easily snapped into place.

Dishwasher would not run no lights lit on key pad Harold K. • Beaver , PA • September 24, 2016
I wasn't sure if the problem was going to be the key pad or the electronic control board, so I ordered both parts. The key pad fixed the problem, so I will be returning the control board.
I had a bit of concern because I wasn't sure how the ribbon cable connector worked, but it turned out to be pretty easy. You slide the top part of the connector back along the axis of the ribbon cable to take it apart. Insert the ribbon cable from the new key pad and just snap the connector back together. No...

Dishwasher would fill then shut off when restarted it would try to fill again overflowing Robert J. • Schererville , IN • July 02, 2016
I replaced the float switch. It was an easy enough repair. I didn't have to remove the dishwasher to do the work. The part is accessible from behind the front skirt. The only problem was there is not a lot of space to work in. Getting the fastener off and on requires a stubby nut driver. I used a flexible extension instead. I had to feel for the nut as the bottom of the door blocked my view. A ten minute job and the dishwasher is back in service (for half the cost of my local parts place) While...

Rinse agent reservoir was leaking unit wouldn't hold liquid… just ran out as you filled it Morgan L. • Cumming , GA • August 19, 2014
Ordered the part. Arrived the next day. Took the eleven screws off the door exposing the back of the Soap/Rinse Aid dispenser. Six screws hold it on the inside of the door. Popped off easily. There is a plug that runs from the timer to the dispenser…it's a pain to get off. Use a flat head screw driver. Screwed the new unit in place. Plugged it in. Put the door back together. I accidentally caught the door catch in the door and screwed it together seizing it...so I had to take the top screws off...

Shutdown on wash cycle "motor high current" fault Julian W. • Browns Summit , NC • July 21, 2015
Tested starter capacitor at 2.16µF.
pic: http://s29.postimg.org/e05fufxdz/IMG_20150716_140312.jpg
It should be 15µF.

Contrary to service manual, capacitor is not accessible behind the toe/kick-plate; it is underneath but all the way towards the rear. To get to it, the dishwasher has to be removed and positioned face-down (drain first, use towels/drop-cloth).

Control panel stopped working Matthew V. • San Antonio , TX • April 19, 2015
I bought the dishwasher used and the control panel never fully worked. The countdown timer was non-functional, many of the buttons were unresponsive, and "start" needed to be pressed multiple times before the dishwasher would turn on. After a few months, none of the lights worked, and all the buttons stopped responding.
I first replaced the handle, since it was also broken (the door was difficult to open) and there was a chance it wasn't registering the door as fully closed. The new handle...
