I started by replacing the water filter assembly since it was leaking after I attempted to install a non-name-brand filter. The new assembly didn't fix the problem (but was hard to find, and AppliancePartsPros was amazing in being able to get one). I removed the door and the hinge assembly from the right side; it turns out the grommet had never been installed and this is what was causing the door to grind down the metal hinge. It was remarkably easy to replace and my door is working perfectly! Read more

Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in... Read more

New filters did not fix issue and lines were clear. No need to pull fridge out, Changing this part fixed completely and took about an hour. Mostly because I did not find a good step by step to follow. FIRST: Shut off water, but leave power on for inside fridge lighting. 1. Remove two crisper drawers 2. Squeeze two white tabs just under glass shelf in middle filter housing while pulling off front filter cover (has big hole for filter in middle of it). This requires slotted screwdriver to LIGHTLY... Once I found the hole for the spring arm to go in it took 1 min. Tip: make sure the spring is on the left side pin and, insert it First to insure the spring aligns then use a screw driver to pry out the Right side flange slightly to aide in inserting the right side pin into its hole Read more

There's a piece of plastic with an embedded metal nut that is screwed on to the handle at both ends of the handle. These nuts lock on to screws on the drawer. Problem is that these plastic parts are flimsy and they broke at both the left and right ends and the handle just came loose. It was a two minute job to unscrew these plastic parts from the handle and screw in the replacements. Once that's done you can attach the handle to the drawer (need a hex key). Read more

Used the video with the parts and replaced the wheels. The only thing we did wrong was using the front wheel axle instead of the back wheel axle on the back wheels. I will just order two more front wheel axles which are longer than the back axle. Thank you for the video, it made this repair easier. Read more

The Samsung french door freezer has a handle that has plastic pivot plates that help "push" the door open during its first inch or so of travel. One morning, the handle pulled off taking portions of both pivot plates with it! I looked at the blow up drawing to figure out what parts I might need. I then watched a you tube video to see how to take the handle off. I kind of figured out on my own how to remove the ruined cap handle. It took me a few minutes to figure it out and more time to remove both the handle and the broken part. Simply removed one screw pulled dispenser control panel straight forward disengaged electrical connection and reassembled. Literally was a 3 minute job. Read more

Repair required removing all of the interior drawers & shelves and the interior back panel. There you will find the defrost heater. Behind the defrost heater is a metal plate as well as one on the back of the front interior cover. Both were corroded and in need of replacement. I ordered Samsung part #’s AP5577767, plate drain & AP5587916, evaporator plate and replaced both. Read more

Removed the bottom shelf by releasing the 2 clips near the water filter, then lifted the front of the shelf and slid it out. Removed 2 screws from the broken Vegetable Rail and replaced it with the new one. Slid the shelf back into place and locked it down into the clips. Done. Took longer to remove everything from the shelf than it did to fix it. Less than 5 minute repair. Read more

Ordered new drawer which the picture made the face of the drawer appear gray. Called an operator she said it appears all drawers are fac tory gray face border. Ordered two day shipping and was pleasantly surprised when drawer arrived on time with white face border and matched original happy happy happy. Read more
