Secures and covers your dryer's lint filter to trap debris effectively. Replace if warped, cracked, or allowing lint bypass. Verify fit by model number.
There are just two phillip head screws that hold it in place. There are also a couple of pronged metal sensors that pop out/in place. When I was cleaning the area before replacing the grille I accidentally bumped the electric clip for the sensors and it fell back into the dryer. I was able to bend a coat hanger to retrieve the wires. Other than that it was a very simple procedure. Read more

I tried to hire someone through Home Advisor and was given an initial estimate of 436.00!?! However, no one ever contacted me about repairing the dryer. Moving to a propane home? Convert your natural gas dryer to LP with this orifice kit. Straightforward DIY process takes 1.5-2.5 hours with careful work.
I'm not an appliance mechanic and have never worked on a dryer before, but I have worked as an instrument technician and lightly dabbled in HVAC repairs. We moved from natural gas to a new home with propane, so purchased this kit to make the conversion. In my mind I thought it would be fairly quick and easy, change a few fittings, etc, but realized upon reading the instructions that I needed to disassemble most of the dryer. The work was straightforward but since this was my first time... Read more
Dryer won't heat? A failed thermal cut-off fuse cuts power when temps spike. DIYers replace this safety part in 20-30 minutes with basic tools.
The 2 sensors that sit on top of the flame tube work together. The Thrmst F should check closed, as should the Cutoff-TML, in order for power to flow to the ignitor. If the Cutoff is open, it is usually because the Thrmst-F did not open soon enough. The Thermst-F will cycle, closed to open, and repeat, however the Cutoff-HTML is a one time switch. If it opens it will not return to closed, and subsequently the ignitor will not glow. Some professionals say that if one of these sensors fail, both... Read more
If your dryer won't stay lit or shuts off after a few minutes, the gas limiter may be faulty. This regulator controls safe gas flow to the burner.
Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP. I ended up finding the Dryer schematic on line for the Whirlpool Duet natural gas dryer and was able to figure out what sequence the Spring, regulator and limiter went in. The order I just... Houses and secures the lint filter in your dryer. Replace if cracked, warped, or broken to prevent lint bypass and maintain airflow. Verify fit by model.
My dryer lint filter was clogged beyond regular cleaning due to its age. After 15 years of daily use it was time to replace. In.the process of determining why the dryer was taking so long to dry loads, I noticed the filter housing gasket had torn off somehow which allow a lot of lint to pass through into the dryers main housing. I believe this prevented the dryer to have good air flow. Replacing both the filter and its housing was easy and fixed the problem pronto! I saved myself $1000 by... Read more
