Surface Unit
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB30K10003

This is a surface burner unit, and it is made for ranges, stoves, and cooktops. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. Surface burners, when prompted, are able to heat up so that the user can cook on top of the stove. The metal in which it is made can easily transfer the heat from the element below to the pot or pan on top. A new surface unit might be needed if the burner element will not heat. It is possible that after many years the surface burner is unable to heat up due to many uses and normal wear and tear. Be sure the appliance is completely powered down and cooled off before attempting a repair of the surface burners. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually and is compatible with ranges, stoves, or cooktops made by General Electric.

My 1984 GE Electric Stove model number was very close to an another entry, but not actually in appliance repair pros' model numbers list.
