Fix F06 or F11 error codes, washer won't start, or drum won't spin. This motor control board regulates spin speed. Moderate DIY with video guide.
We started getting the F06 code when on the normal cycle it was time to Rinse/Spin, pointing to a speed/tachometer issue on the motor. After several attempts of unplugging from power and restarting the cycle it would eventually start working for the rest of the laundry session. The Whirlpool technician after a brief look on the underside determined it was the motor and had to be replaced, even tough all troubleshooting tests on the motor were ok. I insisted that the probability was much higher... Read more

Range clock or timer not working? This control board restores display and cooking time functions. DIY-friendly with video guide. Fits electric and gas ranges.
Removed the front off the back panel, unplugged the old unit. Then using a blow dryer heated the old timer to peel the face /cover off and applied to the new clock. Plugged in the replacement clock. Replaced the front of the range. The only complaint I have is we were not informed that a new face would not be included and the old one would have to be removed and applied to the replacement clock. The face that was on the orginal clock has the buttons to set the clock and timer reversed from... Read more

Fix F11 or F70 error codes with a new motor control board. Common when washer won't spin or start. DIY-friendly repair takes about 30 minutes.
After much reading on line regarding my problem. I decided to do any test that I could to try to diagnose and fix this myself if I could. This took a lot of time and patience to get the answers on how to go about this from "experts" as some of the info was contradictory. I was almost about to give up and buy a new washer with less electronic parts and buttons as advised by an honest appliance technician . I tried one more thing first which was to disconnect the lead wires connected to the MCU .... Read more

Fix a dryer that won't start, stops mid-cycle, or runs continuously. This 2-cycle timer controls cycle selection and automatic shutoff. DIY-friendly repair.
My dryer would only start (and keep running) after a lot of fiddling with the timer to find a position that "worked." The machine wouldn't turn on when the timer was set in the dry-sensor region, and eventually, it stayed running only when we pressed the timer button. As soon as the pressure was off, the dryer stopped. Clearly that wasn't sustainable. I'd been putting off the repair because our dryer vent situation is tricky; once disconnected it's a real bear to reconnect. Watching the... Read more

Turned off the power. Pulled out the stove. Removed back of upper part of stove. Removed old control board. Took photos with phone to make sure I got wires back on correctly. Only 1 wire was difficult to remove and required gentle rocking with pliers. Put the overlay on the new board. Placed all the clips and wires back on the new board. Turned on power to test. Tested ok. Turned power off and resecured the board and back on the stove. Repositioned the stove. Turned power back on. I... Read more
