Oven burner would not light broiler burner would light Michael C. • Austin , TX • January 25, 2015
If the oven burner would not light but the broiler would this indicated that the safety valve is OK. Problem had to be with the igniter. Removed the bottom panel in the oven and restarted the oven. The igniter would not glow at all. It should be brilliant red.
This is where the problem came in. I could not find the location of the model on the Kenmore range anywhere you would normally look - the back, the wiring envelope, the oven door jamb etc. Also the igniter cannot be removed from...

I went directly online and Googled "Bake elements for GE ovens". At first I did not think I would have luck finding this part because of the oven's age. AppliancePartsPros.com was one of the service dealers listed first and catered specifically to GE appliances and parts. So, I typed in the Model number and low and behold, a screen...

Jennair jjw9630cas double oven doors did not close all the way and the light would not go out Wayne W. • East Longmeadow , MA • February 13, 2016
I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. It didn't look like a difficult fix so I ordered four new hinges and four new receptacles, which arrived quickly. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to replace the hinges and it...

Just extremely old and ugly burner trays James B. • Corinth , TX • November 17, 2014
I spent hours searching for the right trays, knowing only that the stove is GE, and what the trays look like, including exact dimensions. I suggested that they correct their description, but the lady did not think I was right. I said just measure them yourself, as per the method that your...

Large dual burner Frederick E. • Athens , AL • September 19, 2014
Stove is a GE Adora Model JBP63HH2bb. It took me forever to figure out how the burner was attached to the rails.
My glass top was different than any instructions found on the internet for changing out a burner. The burners on this one are held to the bottom of the glass cook top by two rails that cross the bottom of the burner assemblies. In order to get too the burners you must remove 4 Phillips screws to lower the rails and burners from the cooktop. I suggest two people do this because...

Ge microwave ran when turned off if door was shut Jason A. • Cary , NC • April 02, 2017
The first symptom was our microwave would continue to run after the time was up. The light would go out, the turn table would stop but you could still hear the microwave running and whatever was in it would continue to cook. The only way to stop it was to open the door. It was intermittent at first but eventually it would always run no matter what as long as the door was closed. Several other posts referenced these switches as the problem. I just replaced both and problem gone. It turns out...
