Plastic cam riser that mounts on the bottom of your freezer door, working with the lower hinge to align and support the door. Replace if cracked or broken.
The repair itself is pretty basic, remove broken parts and replace with new, but the process is much more challenging on the freezer door than on the fridge side since the water lines are routed through the hinge. This is definitely a two person job and you will be laying on the floor to do it. 1st thing is to turn the water off and remove the ice bucket. Remove top trim piece and release upper hinge assembly, support the door. The top hinge must rotate up to slip over the wiring bundle,... Read more

Securely houses your refrigerator's water filter for clean, purified water. Replace if leaking after filter changes or cracked from wear. Confirm fit by model.
After looking online and discovering that others who had used a knockoff brand filter to "save money" had the same problem, I concluded the only solution was to replace the filter housing. Found the one I needed on AppliancePartsPros.com. Most important to me was the video explaining how to replace the filter housing - it made the task a snap to complete. The price was also competitive with other sources. Shipping was half that charged by Samsung. Not only was it cheaper, but it was also super... Read more
Ice maker stopped making ice or freezing into a solid block? This ice maker assembly restores function in 15-20 minutes with just a screwdriver.
Purchased both the ice maker assembly and the valve assembly to replace the parts as needed. replaced the ice maker assembly first, and this fixed my problem. Took about 10 minutes, mainly because I didn't watch the YouTube video first. Had I watched that, it would have probably taken even less time. One Philips head screw driver is all you need. Read more
Replaces broken or cracked ice chute door cover on refrigerator dispensers. Includes spring mechanism. Installs on front dispenser panel.
Unplug fridge. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the single screw underneath the display. Also under the ledge you will see two slots - one on each side of the forward part of the ledge. Insert a flat-head screw driver and twist (either way) to release the plastic tabs. Once the tabs release you can pull the whole thing loose. Unplug the wiring connector and set the display face aside. Next TAKE A PICTURE OF WHAT YOU SEE WITH YOUR PHONE so you know how everything fits... Read more
Lower door hinge assembly for side-by-side refrigerators. Mounts to the cabinet bottom to support and pivot the door. Replace if cracked, broken, or worn.
Samsung support said "not customer serviceable part, must call for service". Wanted to just replace the plastic cam (attached to hinge), but not sure of the part #. Bought the entire hinge assembly and upper cam riser also (attached to the bottom of the door). Replaced both with the help of Youtube videos. Repair took approximately 15 minutes and I probably saved $100-$150! Read more

Refrigerator compressor won't start after power surge? This overload protector prevents electrical damage to your compressor. DIY repair in 30 minutes.
Took a bit to diagnose. First tried cleaning coils but the problem still persisted. Next took of the back panel and put the system into diag mode. (Press energy save button and fridge button for eight seconds system ding once a second and inverter board red LED will blink a code or be on solid if no issue. See back of the refrigerator for a sticker with what the number of blinks means. My unit one blinking 1 time. So I measured the resistance of the compressor between windings (8.9 ohms between... Fix ice or water that won't stop dispensing with this dispenser control switch. Resolves stuck dispenser issues. DIY repair in under 30 minutes.
First, I modified old butter knife by bending a 90° angle about 3/4" from the tip. I slid the bent in up under the bottom of the switch cover and worked it to one side. I then rotated the knife downward using the bent end to pry the cover off. The switch is held by plastic arms on each side. The bottom right arm has a locating pin that fits into the switch. Unplugged the switch and re-installed. Read more

Replacement rear caster wheel for refrigerators. Restores mobility when original wheel is broken, cracked, or damaged. Mounts to bottom rear of unit.
I have a large Samsung 4 door refrigerator. One of the rear wheels broke. To replace it, you need the wheel and the shaft. To lift the refrigerator for the repair, I had my wife stand in front of it with her foot on a board that was wedged against the front wheels. I then pushed the refrigerator up from behind and slid a 3/4" piece of plywood underneath the bottom with my foot. This gives you enough space to do the repair. After removing the back cover, it's best just to knock out the broken... Read more
Connects your refrigerator to the wall outlet. Replace if the cord is severed, the plug prongs are broken, or the ground terminal is damaged or missing.
I started by replacing the water filter assembly since it was leaking after I attempted to install a non-name-brand filter. The new assembly didn't fix the problem (but was hard to find, and AppliancePartsPros was amazing in being able to get one). Further, while replacing that I noticed that the previous owner had literally cut out the grounding pin from the power cord. I decided to replace the power cord and the Ice Maker Assembly. None of the online stores seemed to have either part listed... Read more

Plastic cam riser that installs on the bottom hinge of your refrigerator's freezer door. Replace if cracked, broken, or worn to restore smooth operation.
Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. You will need a second person to help guide the door back onto the frame. Read more
Ice won't dispense or ice chute door won't close? This dispenser door assembly fixes broken flaps and stripped gears. DIY-friendly with video guide.
Disassembly is a little tricky. First, with a #2 phillips screwdriver, remove the single screw to the left of the ice chute/water dispenser. You'll have to get down low and look up from underneath. Next, underneath on either side, there are little slots with arrows pointing to them. Take a small straight slot screw driver and insert in each slot while gently pulling on the clear ice chute. It will pop out bottom edge first. Keep pulling out and up. The whole screen will pop out. Let it hang by... Read more
