How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5690431 / A00126401 Drain Pump Assembly

Ordered a replacement pump 

We followed the video instructions on your amazing website. Initially we used YouTube videos to make sure there were no clogs, but the dishwasher still didn’t drain. So we decided to order a new pump. Your video was easy to follow. Even though our dishwasher seemed to have an extra part not shown in the video, with a little fiddling we were able to install the replacement pump in a about an hour. It was like music to hear the new pump working. I didn’t realize before that the sound of the pump was missing. Thank you for saving us a large repair bill!! 

First off, the pump arrived much quicker than I thought it would. Then, the packing was perfect. The pump barely fit in the box it was shipped in with minimal extra garbage. Great use of resources. The video on the website was also perfect. I didn't actually have to remove the water line from my washer to do the job, but that's installation specific. Great service and support. You are bookmarked forever. Thanks so much! 

After determining that there was no clog I decided to replace the drain pump. I used the video as my guide. The glitch came because, as I replaced the pump just as described, the unit leaked from the seal. I uninstalled the part and noticed that the gasket was a slightly different design. I ended up adding the old gasket atop the of the replacement part and achieved a water-tight seal. It was disappointing but I was relieved that a solution was to be found so that the repair did not go on for longer than reasonable. 

Replaced it and the dishwasher works perfectly 

I followed a couple of videos that I saw on the internet mans replace said items. Works great now. Thanks for the help and the parts. 

Replaced the drain pump. Video showed exactly where the pump was located and how to replace it. The repair took less than 10 minutes. 

Purchased the pump assembly and replaced it. My dishwasher’s power was hardlined to the machine, and there was a large black part dead center of the machine’s base that blocked access to one of the three torques screws. Those two differences from the “how to” video made my repair much more of a headache for a novice like myself. Especially the torques screw being nearly impossible to access (I don’t know what the name of the part that blocked it is). Beyond those exceptions the repair was just like the video. My time is not the norm for anyone with experience or those expecting the two obstacles I ran into. Thankfully it did correct the problem! 

My teenage son the future engineer researched online and found your site. We figured it was the drain pump motor, ordered part and it was here in 2 days! Watched easy instructional video on your site and swapped out part ourselves. Took about an hour and dishwasher running fine. I love your site and business model and would recommend anyone out there to try it out. Thanks for saving me several hundred dollars!!! 

Replaced drain pump. An easy job once you have the dishwasher out of its enclosure (that was quite struggle in this older house since the floor had three layers of floor covering on top of each other right in front of the dishwasher).
