I removed the kick panel/door and confirmed there was no flame. Inspection with a flashlight revealed the igniter was damage - partly broken away. Using a 1/4" socket set I removed the burner assembly. Inspection showed the burner was rusted and the flame deflector had fallen off. I ordered both the "Dryer Igniter and Bracket" and a burner. Every time I tried to start our dryer, the "Sensing Light" came on, I heard a little "click," and the dryer would not start. I went online and typed in my model number. I was just going to order the dryer belt, but decided that changing all the movable parts at the same time would be best - I definitely recommend doing this, since it was the tensioner pulley and not the belt. My husband is handy, which is why this was not a problem. The whole dryer needs to come apart in order to do this repair. Door latch was a snap (literally). Package included Instructions and parts for 3 different latch types and an easy identification method for each type. Just identify the correct latch type for your dryer and "Snap" it in to the cutout on the inside of the dryer door . The Door handle requires you unscrew the small sheet metal screws (three on my dryer) on the top edge of the dryer door. I saw videos on it possibly being the lid switch. I used 2 lead wires to bypass the lid switch, which indicated it was indeed the lid switch that was faulty. I ordered the lid switch, which came in 2 days. I installed it in less than 7 minutes. Read more
