Hello Tom. You will need to check and see if the ice maker is level. If not, it can cause the problem you are having. If it is level, check and see if the ice maker is too full of water. If so, the water valve WP67005154 may be bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.

Hello Stephen. You will need to test and see when the icemaker cycles, if it sends power to the water valve. Also, make sure the fill tube going to the icemaker is not frozen. The only way to check this is to remove the fill tube, or blow through the water line going to the icemaker. If the line is clear, and there is no power to the valve, replace the icemaker. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Phil, Your description in a text book description of a water pressure/flow problem. With the filter installed you maust maintain a reccomended 32 psi water pressure to the fill valve for proper operation of the dispenser. with the "bypass plug" installed the water psi can be as low as 20 psi and operate. Basically, you may have a clog inthe fill valve debris screen or plumbing, or a low water supply psi. Good Luck and Thanks

Hi Joe. All of this points to a new water valve. This part # is WP67005154. If your copper supply line is hitting any metal on the back of your unit, then it will rattle or bang. It is always better to coil the copper tubing as in an according style so it helps minimize this. Thank you.

Ricardo for Model Number MCD2257THES

Before I disconnected my water line to the fridge to relocate it to my other place every thing was working. The ice dispenser, water dispenser were all working. After probably year of being disconnected I reconnected the water line to the refrigerator, but then no water is going to ice dispenser and no water to the ice dispenser. I replace new water filter thinking it will solve the problem, but it did not. I know there is water going to the fridge because when I replaced the water filter, the water filled the water filter (there was water pressure), but no water is going to the ice maker and no water coming out in the water dispenser. What could be the problem? Please help me.

Hello Ricardo. The first thing you will want to check is the water tank assembly R0131625. Check and see if it is frozen. If so, that is the problem. If it is good, you will need to test and see if there is power going to the water valve WP67005154, when the dispenser is pressed and the icemaker cycles. If there is power there and the dispenser and the icemaker does not work, you will need to replace the water valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
