1 Answer Hello Ralph, There could be something in the pump WPW10730972, there could be a separated pump impeller from the pump motor shaft, there could be a bad connection or a bad harness, or a failed control board WPW10491312. Read More...

1 Answer Steve, For the unit not spinning it sounds clutch is not releasing properly and allowing the spin. Also check the drive block to make sure that it is not damaged. Read More...
1 Answer Steve, The first thing that you will want to do is to check the clutch which would be the most common reason for the unit not spinning after the wash cycle. Read More...
Geoff January 02, 2015 for Model Number WTW5800SWS My w/m will drain the water out but the tub doesn't spin. I did get it to spin one time during one of my many tests and there was a clunking noise when the spin cycle stopped. The agitator works fine and washes the clothes but I won't spin dry them. Drive block? Thanks, Geoff
1 Answer Geoff, The " clunking noise when the spin cycle stopped" would indicate that the drive block WP389140 continues to rotate when the drive tube W10820043 has stopped by the brake. You'll need to remove everything from the tub and check the drive tube tabs, to see if they have "rounded" off or worn out and replace the drive block as well. Read More...
Hugh December 12, 2014 for Model Number GE Top loading Washer Model #WDSR2080DAWW Washer agitator will not move but the spin cycle still works. Is this the drive block or could it be something else?

Kendra October 22, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool LSN1000KQ My washer has stopped spinning and emits a very loud, constant sound when it reaches the spin cycle. The only way to get it to stop is to shut the washer off or manually move it out of the spin cycle. It appears to agitate and drain fine. My husband replaced the clutch but that didn't correct the issue. There were no rubber shavings under the washer so I don't think it is the motor coupling. Could it be the drive block?
1 Answer Kendra, If the noise is a rapid clacking or thumping noise at the start or end of the spin, then yes, you'll need to check the drive block WP389140 and the drive tube W10820043. The retainer slots in the drive block can round out and begin to slip. If left alone long enough, the "ears" or tabs on the top of the drive tube can also round out / off and the tub will not spin. Larry July 19, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore 110.22922 With large or heavy loads, the washer does not remove much water from the clothes. The washer spins, but possibly not fast enough. If I cut the load in half and rerun the spin cycle, it works fine. Suggestions on what is not working properly?
Dora June 30, 2014 for Model Number whirlpool LSQ9544kQ0 This looks like a tough repair to me so I want to be as sure as possible that the drive block is the culprit. During the spin cycles, the washing machine makes a machine gun ratatat noise. The machine feels level and a level tells me that it is practically level. If I push down on the top of the machine in the right corner, the noise stops (only to resume if I let go of the machine.) If the drive block is to blame, does it make sense that holding down the machine in one corner would stop the noise? Thanks
1 Answer Dora, You will want to pull the cabinet of the unit and check to see if there are any screws that are missing or have come loose. The drive block being faulty will not stop when you push on the corner of the unit. This could only be caused by a cabinet noise. Read More...
