Chad January 06, 2016 Just purchased the electronic control board for my whirlpool duet steam dryer from you. My question is I got the control board and I have a extra plug with no place for it on the new one... Now throwing L2 code for low voltage??? Just wondering what's going on. Already checked breakers and replaced them?

Todd P October 28, 2015 for Model Number NGD7500VW1 Our Amana Gas Dryer is working, but isn't completely drying the load of clothes regardless of the cycle type selected. It shuts down in about 15-20 minutes, and takes 2-3 cycles to completely dry the load, particularly if it contains towels or jeans. The dryer is several years old, but in great condition and not presenting any codes. I have vacuumed out the vents and the inside machine ducting, and verified the outdoor vent is not clogged. I have scheduled a Sears home service call for 10/31, but wondering if there is any advice you can offer.
1 Answer Todd, This unit has 2 sensor bars at the front of the drum. You will want to try to clean them with rubbing alcohol. If they have build up from static sheets on it then it will cause rapid dryer timeout times and long drying times. If this checks ok then the wire harness would need to be checked to make sure that it is not damaged. Read More...
Bob July 13, 2015 for Model Number mede300vfo Won't light up but after using my meter it shows that it is getting power to the top of the dryer.
1 Answer Bob, With getting power to the control board but the display is not lighting up, you will want to make sure that the p2 connector is all the way inserted into the machine control electronics and visually check that the console electronics and housing assembly is properly inserted into the front console. If both check ok then replace the console assembly W10303516. Read More...
Howard March 16, 2015 for Model Number gew9200lwo Dryer works on only two manual settings. Diagnostic test showed no error codes. What to check next?
1 Answer Hello Howard, This indicates a possible restriction of the exhaust ducting in the home. All of the same components are used inside the unit for the manual cycles so the ducting should be checked for crimps, clogs, and excessive length. A fault code would have popped if an issue were present with the thermistor. Read More...
Chris March 12, 2015 for Model Number WED9200SQL I have a Whirlpool Duet dryer. It had a contact that had wiggled loose on the control board and I soldered it back in place. It started and now it has error code F22 for open inlet thermistor. I replaced the inlet thermistor. It also coded F27 for which their is no error code for. It also coded F24 for outlet thermistor. It will run for about 2 minutes until the heating coil heats up and then shut off and code F22. I don't mind replacing the control board but for $200+ I want to be sure that's it.
1 Answer Hello Chris. When you get an error from a control board that does not exist, the manufacturer recommends replacing the control board on the unit. Read More...
Roberto A. August 11, 2014 for Model Number WED9400SW2 Whirlpool Duet Electric dryer won't start. Fault code F31. I followed troubleshooting guide and found thermal fuse blown, replaced, cleaned machine no obstructions or severe lint build up. The duct is clean, too. Ran for 2-3 minutes and stopped again. Now I have code F23 and F31, thermal fuse is blown again. Any advise?
1 Answer Hello Roberto, You should unplug the unit and look for burned spots on the receptacle prongs. These are the indication of a loose wall outlet. Then check the contention of the cord to the terminal block in the back of the unit. The F-31 fault code is a "L2 Line Voltage Error" per the tech sheet. As per the tech sheet: F:31 flashes if a low voltage condition (less than 30 V) has been detected. This fault code appears ONLY when in the Diagnostic Test Mode. Check to see if a household fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped. Confirm the power cord is properly installed and plugged into the power outlet. Check the relay connections on the electronic control. The F-23 fault code is indicating the outlet let thermistor is shorted. See test 4a page 7 of the tech sheet. It should read from 11.5K ohms to 13.5K ohms if the outlet thermistor is a good part. Read More...
Susan August 02, 2014 for Model Number MEDE300VF0 I have a Maytag 3000 Series Dryer that just stopped working, it gets power but will not turn on. All lights and sounds were working even clock counting down etc BUT I ordered Part Number AP4373582 (W10174745) from AppliancePartsPro.com,Inc. and switched out the Electric Control Board exactly the way it was on the old board (except on the right side of board is configured a little differently) after the switch I plugged the dryer back in and turned on but now no lights on and flashes F70 grrrr have no idea what to do now please advise. So I did order the thermal fuse just to try. Any Suggestions??? Please & Thank You Also checked lint screen. Lint was built up at the end of outdoor exhaust completely cleaned that out and also indoor vent and inside dryer etc. Because I had noticed a few days before the dryer stopped working that when I used the touch up selection which is a 15 min cycle it got really HOT more than normal not sure if any of these things are the reason for problem but again please advise ASAP. Thanks Again!!
1 Answer Susan, The F70 is a no communication error. With this error you will want to check the connections between the control boards. Make sure that there is no damage. If this checks ok then you may want to try another board as it sounds like the board may be faulty. Read More...
Kenny June 13, 2014 for Model Number mede300vw0 Maytag dryer model number MEDE300VW0. Keeps blowing the thermal fuse. If I replace the thermal fuse it will run for a few minutes and then shut off. I replaced the Heating element, and kit 280148 (The fuses on the side of the element enclosure) as well as the thermistor, and blown thermal fuse again. Yet it keeps blowing. Have cleaned all duct work, and done the diagnostics. The motor and heater will not run, I feel due to the once again blown thermal fuse. It is giving a code of f25 in diagnostic mode only. When not in diagnostic mode it acts as if it is running counts down the minutes remaining but does not tumble, the motor doesn't run, and the heat is not on. I feel there are 2 things left to try: The Motor & the Machine Control Electronics. I have already spent over $100 replacing the items listed above & hate to spend money on something I do not need AGAIN. Is this most likely the motor or the MCE??? Thanks for your help
1 Answer Kenny, You will want to check the drum seal and the seal around the blower housing to make sure that there is not a leak that would cause the thermal to blow. This would be a likely hood of what is happening. Also if the motor is overheating and putting off enough heat to blow the fuse then yes it would be the motor. Double check the thermal fuse and see if it is bad and if not then the motor is most likely the issue. Read More...
Bryan December 28, 2013 I am replacing a W10182366 board on a Whiripool duet dryer and the new board, W10174745. It appears the hold board had some wires hard wired and the new board requires a plug. Am I missing something?
1 Answer Hello Bryan. No, all the wires come off. Some do have locking tabs securing them to the control board in the unit. You squeeze the tabs to release and remove them from the control board. Read More...
Ko October 22, 2013 for Model Number MEDE300VW0 The moisture sensor cycle stops before the clothes are dry. Timed cycle drys the clothes properly. Cleaned the vents and ducts. Plenty of heat, plenty of airflow. Ran diagnostics and sensor strips passed the test. Measured resistance across the contacts of the cable that includes the two MOVs and it was infinity. Measured resistance between outer contacts and ground and it was infinity. Does all this point to replacing the machine control electronics? Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello KO. Try cleaning the sensor bars in the unit. If they are clean, try replacing the thermistor WP8577274 in the unit. Read More...
