The Pump and Drive Belt Kit is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washing machines. The Pump and drive belt kit is responsible for helping to drain water from the washer drum during the wash cycle. The pump and drive belt kit works by powering the washer's pump to remove water from the drum and out of the washer. The drive belt provides the power to turn the pump, while the pump helps to drain the water. The kit includes 1 pump belt and 1 drive belt.

This part fixes the following symptoms:

  • Standing water in the washer drum
  • Ineffective or non-existent water drainage
  • Potential water damage or flooding caused by a faulty pump or drive belt

Causes of needing to replace the pump and drive belt kit include normal wear and tear over extended use, exposure to debris or foreign objects, or physical damage from impact or mishandling.

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore washer models.

For Whirlpool Pump And Drive Belt Kit (Part Number: OEM12033546)

Gus for Model Number 214943VT Maytag top load

The washer hasn't been used for several years. I want to try to fix it for a back up. Yesterday it went through the delicate cycle and worked fine. When I started to wash a wash & wear load it would spin but water didn't go out. I am thinking the belt or belts maybe sliping. I haven't had a chance to check the belts yet. The washer is about 20 years old, but has only been used for about 8 yrs. I am limited for the size of washer so I would like to try to fix it. Do you think it would be advisable. Do you think it sounds like a belt or belts? Thanks Gus

Hi Gerry. Remove all power. You can slide adjust the pump 5/16" bolts so when you squeeze test the belts, you have at least 3/8"-1/2" of gap with the motor fully pressed out with tension. If the belts are throwing off the debris's then it is a very good time / sign of replacing. The belts are part # 12112425. Check and clean with alcohol the floor and foot pads where they grip the floor. The pad part # is WP210684. Level the legs and lock the upper leg nuts locked up tight up against the base. Then release the top spring clips and lift the top. Unclip the top tub cover and see if there is any small clothes bunched up in between the inner/outer tub ( use a flashlight). They will get there with an overloaded situation, stopping the tub. Let Us know as if we can help you further. Thank you.

Hello Joe. Check and see if the belts are bad on the unit, and also the motor moves freely on the plate and there is 2 spring on the motor. If so, you will need to replace the belts 12112425. Hope this helps.

Kenneth, Yes it could be a belt, Usually if the belt broke, you'll find it laying on the floor under the washer. Don't know the service history of your washer, but at this point, I would reccomend you repalce them both 12112425 12112425, and check, clean and lube the motor carriage rollers. Good Luck

Hi Lillie. Your question is loaded with possible failures. You have to diagnose which part failed? This failure will cause belts to burn when the motor cannot turn as it is called to. Is there something in between the inner and outer tub (clothing), stopping the inner basket to stop? Is there something caught in the pump, stopping the belts? Is the machine clutch/ brake system locked up? Is the motor bearings locked up? Any one of these problems causes the complaint described. The belt part # is 12112425.The pump part # is WP6-2022030. The motor part # is 12002353.The brake part # is WP6-2011900. Thank you . Hope this helps. [

Hello Judi. You will want to check and make sure the belts 12112425 are in good shape and not worn. If so, check and make sure the tub bearing is not bad. If you hear a roaring sound during the spin cycle, the tub bearing 6-2040130 6-2095720 is bad and will need to be replaced. You will need to replace both kits if the bearing is bad. Hope this helps.

Hello Craig. You will want to remove the belts and try to manually turn the pulley. When you turn it one way, it should turn the tub with it along with a little friction when your turning it. Turn it the other way and it should turn the agitator with almost no resistance. If you have resistance when turning it while it turns the agitator you will have to replace the transmission. If everything turns fine, look at part AP4023752, to make sure it's centered on the base and the motor moves freely. Hope this helps!
