Chris September 02, 2019 for Model Number WTW6300SB0 Type 581 What suspension rod kit would I need for this unit? Washer goes out of balance with almost every load and sounds like it is shaking itself apart. Thanks in advance.
Sonya August 30, 2019 I just replaced my suspension rods to my washer and we noticed that the basket dropped a few inches.. we found that very odd. But we ran a cycle and it works fine but we just cant figure out why the basket dropped down. The rods were the exact length as the odd worn out rods.. Any reason on why this happened. Did we miss a step somewhere?
1 Answer Sonya, First thing, we need is a model number for the washer so we can check and verify the correct parts were ordered and installed. Second, recheck the installation of all the parts according to the service manual or the repair video attached to the W10820048 Suspension rod kit. A slight difference(1/4-1/2 in.) in the tub height could be normal, but not an inch or inches. Read More...
Jessica May 22, 2019 for Model Number 110.20022013 My washer was jumping around and acting like it was unbalanced. Husband googled some stuff and we changed the suspension rods in the washer. Everything was perfect for like one day. Now it’s back to loud banging and jumping around in the laundry room. I am at a loss as of what to do or why it is continuing to make these loud banging sounds. Help please! It doesn’t matter if it is a small or large load that is in the tub it just acts crazy!
1 Answer Hello Jessica, check if the basket (inner tub) has come loose where it attaches to the to the top shaft of the gearcase at the washer drive block. Read More...
William May 15, 2019 for Model Number WDRR2500K1WW With a small load, drum drags on bottom of unit enclosure - has actually worn through the metal at one spot. Spring test seems okay, but clearly hanging low when loaded. No problems on spin cycle, only agitation. Doesn't seem out of balance in any way - just low. Seems to have come on quickly. I did just replace the water level pressure tube. Does it need new suspension rod/spring kit? Also has one broken rubber strap.
1 Answer William, the suspension rods should not allow the tub to drop that low when a small load of laundry is placed inside. Your unit uses two of each suspension rod, WH16X10057 and WH16X543. In regards to the rubber dampening strap WH01X39337, as one has broken it would be recommended to change them all to ensure even wear and proper operation. Read More...
Robert January 27, 2019 for Model Number Whirlpool cabrio washer WTW6700TW1 I have a whirlpool cabrio washer that when it spins it sometimes rattles like gravel or change in the washer. Noise starts then stops. Nothing in the tub.
1 Answer Robert, you will first want to check that there is nothing in between the tub and basket. If there is nothing in between the tub and basket, you will want to then check the rotor to ensure that it is not grinding and that it does not have debri between it and the stator assembly. If all of these check good, then you more than likely have a bearing W10435302 that is failing. Read More...
Bricyce December 06, 2018 for Model Number MVWB750YW0 Was getting Ul messages when the machine was spinning. Changed suspension rod kit with AP5985113 from you. Once I figured out how to open (unscrew the back, rather than "pop the front) the replacement went well. Now getting tremendous banging when spinning. Must turn the machine off before it takes off. What now?
1 Answer Hello Bricyce, You should check the Rotor Position Sensor, (RPS), and the RPS Harness. These are common failures with this design. Read More...

Jamie D August 12, 2018 for Model Number WTW8500DC2 I was washing a load of clothes and noticed that during agitation cycle it was a grinding sound and I looked and it seemed drum was lower than normal. Is this suspension rod problem? Not throwing any code though.
1 Answer Jamie, You will want to pull the inner tub and check the hub on the unit. This would be the most likely cause for the grinding noise which will normally be caused by overloading of the unit. Read More...
