Indicator light would blink three times, make a sound, but the dishwasher would not run. Two weeks ago, my dishwasher would not run. It would beep three times when you pushed the start button: the same signal it gives when the door is open. I used the troubleshooting steps I found at applianceblog.com to do a hard reset. The fix was very easy. Control assembly is easy to access by removing 5 phillips screws. Unplug the wiring from the old assembly being careful to note which wire goes to which connector. Install the new assembly and connect the wiring. Read more

We knew at least one door hinge cable assembly or hinge spring was broken (the door started falling down rapidly and became heavy to close) so we ordered two of each since we had read to go ahead and replace the damaged items on both sides. After reading through a few forums, I narrowed the problem down to one of 3 issues, the door latch, the switch assembly (control panel), or main control board. Replaced the timer and drain solenoid (timer had stuck in "solinoid active" position long enough to burn up the solenoid). Complete the project in two stages on two separate days: 1) replaced solenoid, which took about 30 minutes, 2) replaced timer. Accessing both was straight forward on this simple design dishwasher. I had to remove the dishwasher about 6 inches then remove the door springs and remove the door. Next was to open the cover to reach the circuit board and remove it. The new board was put in and attached the plug. and put the door back together and reinstall the door and springs. Turned the power to check that the lights came on.
