Replaced of water filter then discovered a long slimy clear algae on purging system Michel L. • Rockledge , FL • March 26, 2017
After watching installation videos on each felt I could pull it off and ordered and received replacement water reservoir and water dispenser tube assembly. Reservoir installation went off without a hitch outside of the added step of the need to remove the entire main in waterline assy in order to access the connectors which also were not as represented in video, in that they were not the press-to-release type but standard threaded compression types.
Water Dispenser tube/spout assembly was much...

The water coming from the ice maker and water dispensor had a foul odor and taste even after changing the filter David H. • Needham , MA • May 15, 2015
I replaced the supply line to the fridge - no change in taste. I replaced the MWF manifold and tubes, the water inlet valve and the water storage line. That did it, good tasting water again! The ice still has a bad taste, so I'll replace the supply tube from the valve to the ice maker. Overall, replacing these parts was easy and the videos from Appliance Parts Pros helped.

Low water pressure and flow from the water dispenser on ge profile refrigerator Alex D. • Sanford , FL • December 22, 2016
The refrigerator is about 8-9 years old. GE Profile side by side with water and ice dispenser in the freezer door. Recently, it was time to replace the MSWF cartridge (the indicator light came on). I've done this numerous times over the years, but on this occasion, after installing the new cartridge, I noticed a significant drop in the water pressure and quantity coming out of the dispenser. The ice maker did not seem to be affected, but the water dispenser was definitely a slow trickle. I...

Water dispenser made a lot of noise Pablo C. • Apex , NC • November 23, 2015
Water dispenser came down to a trickle and made a lot of noise, I changed the filter but it didnt help and thus the water tank/head assembly needed to be replaced.
Replacing the water Tank/head assembly was an easy task, the hardest part is removing the covers and taking care of not breaking the insulation of the water inlet hose.
For the not-so-experts like me it is also good to rememebr to have a bucket to collect all the water that comes out after the connection to the solenoid valves is...

Frigidaire puresource2 water filter kept popping out Larry G. • Tacoma , WA • October 18, 2014
Turned off water behind the fridge. Unscrewed housing that covered water lines behind the filter base with a 1/4" socket. Pulled out the water hoses by pulling forward on the blue ring holding the hose while pulling the hose backward. Unscrewed the two screws below the filter base. Used the 1/4" socket to remove four additional 1/4" nuts holding the front housing until it partially dropped. I kept the housing propped on a jar. Unscrewed two additional screws holding the filter release rod in...

Broke microwave handle Gopakumar G. • Orangevale , CA • November 24, 2014
I started by watching the video posted by couple of people on youtube on how to replace a microwave handle. After taking out the liner, I hit a roadblock with unscrewing the handle screw. The grip on the front side had basically melted causing it to be loose, so the screw and the plastic part would rotate together. After trying several things, I gave up and took it to Ace hardware to find an extractor of some sort. Luckily, the guys there used several tools and managed to get the screw out....

Water dispenser with slow flow of water and making loud hissing sound in maytag fridge Emanuel C. • Land O Lakes , FL • January 14, 2015
Almost ordered solenoid valve but realize ice maker was working ok and water dispenser worked good for the first 1-2 seconds. Read online forums and found some posting about replacement of filter head w/ reservoir tha ressembled the problem I was having. Ordered filter head and got part within 2 day (even with ground shipping request). Took about an hour to carefully figure out how to remove covers and install part. An easy way to determine if solenoid is ok is removing filter and installing...
