Two issues water in the bottom of fridge and clicking noise Leroy B. • Colorado Springs , CO • January 19, 2015
The old filter head was broken at the supply line side connector fell out. The clicking noise eventually caused the fridge to warm up and stop cooling. The clicking was the overload relay tripping. The Start solenoid on the compressor was an Embarco TSD part 513604044. APP does not have that part nor does any else found a similar one on ebay but I ordered the PTC assembly 6749C-0014E. I removed the overload relay and capacitor from the TSD used two pieces of wire and connectors to create the...

Walk into the kitchen on 21 Sep. Eight year old Frigidaire refrigerator appears to be short cycling, controls are nonfunctional. Yes ice was not coming out of the dispenser Jason S. • Goose Creek , SC • December 02, 2014
I replaced the solenoid, door, spring and bucket. The bucket cracked from ice freezing inside it. Ice froze inside the bucket because the solenoid stopped pulling the door closed which allowed hot humid air into the freezer. While I was in there I replaced the dispenser door, spring and crank because they are cheap and the old ones were moldy. The mold is most likely from the door not closing and causing condensation on the parts as well.

Shelves and the water stopped working (though the ice still did) Philip E. • Woodbridge , VA • January 21, 2019
Shelving went in without a problem. Very simple. Checked the installation video anyway in case there was a trick to not breaking something. Learned that the nylon clips needed to be transferred and found one missing on another shelf, so ordered a replacement. The water valve was one I replaced some time ago but one of the solenoids was bad, confirmed with a meter (ohm reading is between 200-500; less than 200 or more than 500 is broken). Replaced it without a problem (becoming expert at...

One of the refrigerator doors was off kilter and not closing properly. Dean S. • Henderson , NV • April 04, 2018
I was kind of guessing at the parts that I needed, but the parts diagrams were a huge help, and I narrowed it down to the bushing and stopper on the right door. I removed the door and was able to replace the parts pretty easily. Now the fridge door works good as new.

The GE refrigerator ice maker quit working William M. • Manchester , NC • June 28, 2018
I checked the water supply to the solenoid valve and it was okay, but no water was getting passed the valve. I checked the 115 vac signal from the ice maker to the valve and it was present. Unfortunately I did not know to depress the white fitting on the outlet of the valve to release the line to the ice maker so I cut it, and had to purchase a replacement. A new valve arrived from Appliance Part Pros and was installed as well as a new line and clamp. By this time some moisture had frozen in...

I ordered a replacement auger from AppliancePartsPros.com. Upon receipt of the new auger, I watched the repair video and took the ice crusher apart.
