It was fairly obvious that the washer drainer motor had failed, water was not draining, filter was clean (bottom lower left panel door, have a pail ready!) and drain line was not blocked. Someone had provided great advice on the Appliance Parts Pro's site about replacing the drain motor from the bottom. Great suggestion! Repair went fairly smoothly by following the EXCELLENT how-to video provided. I had only a few issues and suggestions. 1. Because many of the screws and fasteners are of multiple sizes, I would recommend laying them out in a muffin tray or on a paper with labels for where they go back. 2. I called an appliance repair company. They use a flat rate billing system which I don't like. Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. If you have an older model WM8000H_A you MUST pay attention to the type of door gasket (boot seal) that it uses. Every video I could find for replacing the seal on the WM8000HWA involved a different product than what was required for our specific washer.
