Based on internet search and data found on APPLIANCE PARTS PRO, I deduced that the "infinite control " module was most likely bad. Replaced it and all is good. Toughest part was remembering how to disengage cooktop from down draft blower and then pulling the cook top up in within it's opening. Replace dual infinity switch. The only difficulty is the terminal labels on the new switch did not match at all with the terminal labels on the original switch. The enclosed instructions were NOT helpful. But I contacted your representative, Johnny, and he was most helpful and patient. One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! Did a little homework and found this website, spoke with knowledgable staff who pointed me in the right direction. Little procrastination paid off. With only 50% capability I knew it is time to call the appliancepartspros. They shipped me parts within 3 days. It was practical to fix both at the time. All I needed was to disconnect power at range breaker box, grab a screwdriver to lift top open, a 16 inch or so piece of old 2×4 wood to keep the top top of stove lifted, so I could access heating elements from underneath. Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more

I looked on the web firs and saw that it might be a common problem and found quickly the culprit. The switch that control the element has a short cut. I learned from the web that it cost about $50 to replace the switch so I order it and got it quickly. The fun part is to access this part! You have to disconnect the cook top (electricity and vent) Then you have to remove the heavy top and be careful not to break it. Installed replacement burner. Not a one-to-one fit where the wiring is concerned but everything needed to effect the change out was provided with the part. It is important to make notes of what was connected to what on the old one and to compare that to the new one. I used a download of the wiring diagram to good effect because it has the color code for the wiring on it. After looking at several YouTube videos that were only moderately helpful for my particular model, I disconnected the power at the breaker, disconnected the wires below the cooktop to the junction boxed lifted the whole unit out, including the fan assembly. I flipped it upside down and took off the screws holding the unit to the glass top. Although the new fan switch did not look the same as the original switch, the new switch does fit. I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Ordered new screws and door gasket. Replaced the old door gasket now the oven warms up faster and bakes the stuff easier. Replaced the missing door trim screws. Now the door close without making noises. Read more

The oven temperature was low and the heating time excessive. However, the range display showed the requested 400F, even though the oven was really 250F. Because the oven displayed an inaccurate temperature, I ordered an oven sensor, a heating element, and a terminal block. Replacing the heating element fixed the problem.
