Dishwasher won't drain or makes loud humming noise? This drain pump removes water from the wash cycle. Moderate DIY repair with unit removal required.
I stood by the dishwasher as it went through the cycles and noted the noise only happened during the drain processes. To make this repair you have to take the dishwasher completely out from under the counter. (NOTE: print the schematic to help guide you to the location of the part and connections.) The pump is not accessible from underneath. I laid the dishwasher on its side. I recommend disconnecting the copper fill tubing before laying the machine over (I did not and crimped it). The... Replacement drain hose kit for dishwashers. Flexible tubing routes wastewater from the wash chamber to the pump outlet. Replace if cracked or leaking.
Our GE was installed about 8 years ago and was AWESOME for much of its early life. However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. By replacing all the spray arms (clogged with debris), filters, drain hose, and sump...this dishwasher cleans like it did when it was new! Cost was around $100 (also replaced a wheel and the silverware basket) and labor was relatively simple. And to think...my mother-in-law said, "Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a new one?!?". Fix low spray pressure, growling noises, or leaks from the pump housing. This circulation pump assembly requires basic tools. Takes 1-2 hours to install.
I ordered a new motor through ApplianceParts Pros.com and had the new part within 5 days. The entire replacement took approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours. The repair was relatively simple and straight forward. By doing the work myself I saved over $250. Originally a GE technician quoted a price of $489 to replace the motor to repair the dishwasher. For that price I could have bought a new dishwasher (Electronix Express $491) but not with all the features of my current appliance. By doing the... Read more
Roller bearing cage installs in the dishwasher rack track to support smooth gliding. Replace if cracked, broken, or causing the rack to stick or slide out.
I did not see the old ones fall out, so I was not sure the exact product placement within the rail, which was frustrating, to say the least. For the next person's benefit....these slide into the MIDDLE of the rail that is attached to both sides of the dishwasher. Not the front, not the back, but the middle! Steps to fix: 1) Order 2 of these Roller Bearing Cage. 2) Order 4 of WD12X10304 (AP4484666) end caps!! Unless you have brand new ones already, you will need them for sure and they are... Read more

Upper dishrack assembly for dishwashers. Holds dishes and cookware on top rack. Replace if rusted, cracked, or plastic coating is peeling. Includes rollers.
I made my first order with just the make (GE) and Model (Monogram) What was shipped first appeared to be a generic GE rack set. I read some other folks post and some said they made minor adjustments to these racks and they worked fine. I was not happy with the fit and returned the first set. The next set was ordered with Make, Model and Serial number. What was shipped this time are direct replacements for the original racks. A perfect fit. My bad for not including enough information on my... Read more
Dishwasher won't drain or drains slowly? A worn check valve flapper may be blocking water flow. This 30-minute DIY fix prevents backflow issues.
Pulled dishwasher from the cabinet and flipped onto its side. Easy access to sump and drain flapper valve that I also replaced. Rubber sump coming apart into soft pills & chunks and plugging spray arms. Better now but it's rediculous that GE would make components that dissolve this way. Read more
Pulley component for dishwasher door hinge system. Installs behind door panel to provide tension and balance for smooth opening and closing. Replace if cracked, broken, or worn.
At first it seems that the pulley can't be removed to make this repair. However, after removing the screw that holds the pulley in place, if you take a small screwdriver and tap the center of the pulley bracket with a hammer it comes out from behind and will go back in with hand pressure after repair. Mounting screw for dishwasher tub assembly. Secures internal components like spray arms and baskets. Replace if stripped, corroded, or missing.
The replacement of the arm took a total of 3 minutes, all I needed was a nut driver for the easy job, taking the old arm out and putting the new one in, exact replacement , I appreciate you getting the part out as fast as you did. It took an extra day because of the ice storm we had . That was ok. Thanks you . Read more
Replacement spring for dishwasher door latch mechanism. Provides tension to keep plunger engaged. Replace if broken, lost, or stretched during repair.
First off OUTSTANDING experience with AppliancePartsPros.com! Ordered my parts on Tuesday and they arrived Wed morning!! Replaced interlock switch plunger and spring, which was obviously broken compared to the new one. This solved the problem of my door not latching but the machine would still not turn on. So with two interlock switches on the door, one had to be bad. So decided to start by replacing one switch at a time until I found the bad one. If both were bad I would just buy a... Read more

Replaces cracked, kinked, or chewed drain hose that carries wastewater from your dishwasher to household plumbing. Essential for proper drainage function.
I replaced the pump drain assembly. The flapper valve was included in the assembly, so I did not need to order that. On previous repairs, the old drain hose was tricky to reinstall, so I replaced it and the hose clamp. The silverware basket had holes in the bottom and required replacement. I had some broken tine clips. Read more
