Light bulb socket holds and powers the bulb inside your refrigerator. Replace if lights don't work despite new bulbs or if socket is cracked or damaged.
Dropped light panel by removing two screws with socket set. Unplugged two terminals and unclipped the light socket from the base. Then just clipped the new socket onto the base, plugged the connectors onto the terminals and remounted the base. Total job was less than 15 minutes. Read more

If your fridge isn't cooling or freezer is making loud noises, the evaporator fan motor may have failed. Moderately easy DIY repair with video guide.
After checking the suggested fixes and parts on Appliance Parts Pros, I ordered the defrost thermostat and evap motor for my refrigerator, a Kitchen Aid KSSC42QTS00. Installation was very easy, simply emptying the freezer and removing the access panel in the back bottom half. Upon getting everything open, I found out that the existing evap motor was working fine, so I didn't install that part. I did install the defrost thermometer, which was a 5-minute process. I also cleared out the vent... Read more

Fix an ice maker that stopped working or leaks water into the bin. This ice mold tray replacement takes about 10-20 minutes with our step-by-step video.
I have a Whirlpool Side-by-side Model ED22PWXBW01. A year ago, the ice cubes started freezing together in the rear of the ice bin for no apparent reason. Although the problem started off small, it gradually grew much worse, and finally I could see water dripping out of the ice mold and into the bin during the fill cycle. Re-levelling the refrig didn’t help, nor did adjusting the cube size / fill level. With guidance from the video, I removed the icemaker from the wall of the freezer. The... Read more

Video was very helpful and it was an easy fix for someone with little handyman experience. Received my order much faster than expected! The parts arrived the next day and paid for the standard shipping charge. I live in Texas. Read more
Replaces the ice dispenser door motor and bracket in your refrigerator. Order a new assembly if the door flap won't open, stays loose, or doesn't seal.
Replaced not only the ice chute door flap which was squashed from years of use but the mechanism and motor that operates the flap. The old mechanism seemed to work but it seemed a little sloppy or loose. I knew the flap was bad but for the extra few dollars I thought since I had to take the cover off anyway, why not replace the whole thing. I’m glad I did. The new motor and mechanism has been reengineered and is much tighter in the way it operates. The ice chute door seats securely and the ice... Read more

Encloses the water filter to ensure proper flow and filtration. Replace if cracked, leaking when filter is removed, or causing water hammer. Confirm fit.
The video was very helpful, but my KitchenAid model required slightly more steps. Only the two screws in front held the filter housing, same as the video shows, but it has to be removed from the rear. My model did not have the wire brace, only the two front screws held the housing. Shut the water off and pull the electrical plug. Remove the two screws holding the filter housing in the front. Remove the lower panel in the rear at the bottom of the refrigerator. Remove the two screws holding the... Read more
