F7 e1 error code water not getting hot. David F. • Austin , TX • September 14, 2021
My wife said we have a problem with our dishwasher (Whirlpool WDT920SADE2). The dishes were not getting clean, and the soap dispenser opened, but soap was still dribbled down the inside of the door and on the silverware caddy.
I'm not the handiest guy; it took me several days to go through the trouble-shooting process, watching multiple videos and trying different things. My initial guess was that the soap dispenser was opening too late. (This turned out to be wrong.)
I started off by...

Dishwasher stopped draining water the pump was running (i could hear the noise) but water would not go away Evgueni P. • San Mateo , CA • February 08, 2015
I've opened sump housing to check for clogging but it was clean. When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. So I pulled the dishwasher out to get a full access to drain hose connector and the pump. Upon disconnecting the drain and checking its connector I indeed found the round piece totally blocking the hose and acting as a seal. I removed the piece...

Ordered a new screen and filter. While waiting for arrival, removed wax covered dishes. Carefully removed wax filled filter and screen cover. Stuffed paper towels in hole to absorb water and prevent wax from entering pump. Prayed ????wax had not entered pump. With plastic knife removed visible wax. Wiped out with paper towels. Used entire roll. Used hair dryer to melt remaining wax and wiped every inch of racks, wheels, glides, silverware holder, seal, floor and so forth. Oh yes I did. At 1:30...

Leak from under KitchenAid dishwasher misdiagnosed by technician David B. • Freeport , NY • August 21, 2020
My dishwasher was leaking and I called to have a certified technician come to diagnose the problem. I removed the kick panel from the bottom of the machine. He turned it on and we saw that water was leaking from the bottom. He said I needed a Sump kit but it wasn't in stock. The cost was $170 plus tax and labor cost was another $140. So I talked it over with dad and ordered the Sump kit, the hose clamp and a new diverter motor as mine was yellowed with age. The cost of all these parts and...

Jenn airJDB8000AWS3 dishwasher would not drain Lynden B. • Benicia , CA • December 17, 2019
Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. After removal of drain hose from the pump, discovered that drain hose was connected to water inlet assembly which also needed removal to...

Dishwasher not washing due to failed circulation pump Gary Z. • Redwood City , CA • November 13, 2015
Washer would fill, controller made some clicking noises but no washing, then it would empty. Hoped it was circulation pump & not control board so figured I'd roll the dice & order pump assembly. Part arrived 4 days later, installed it in 30 minutes & it worked like a charm! Thanks Parts Pros!

Stopped washing dishes would finish cycle with mucky water in the sump Michel S. • Costa Mesa , CA • September 16, 2016
I think I could have just replaced the pump, but I chose to replace the whole assembly. The part is more expensive, but all the gaskets, etc, that come with it are new and that made sense to change all at once.
I was able to change this in about 30 minutes, without removing the washer from the under-counter space. I did remove the front door panel, but in retrospect that was unnecessary and probably cost me more time than it saved.
Empty the washer of parts, remove the front access panel....

Arm spray on dishwasher Beth N. • Brookings , OR • July 09, 2017
Funny, my husband did it. We have a service contract but you know how long that still takes. So he found the part at the bottom of the dishwasher and it had a number on it. He went to your site and and found the part. Yes it was a little cheaper else where like everything else but what the other sites didn't have he said was the video on how to do it. He explained he felt that takes money to produce so the few dollars more were worth it to him and he can be cheap. We had it in two days like you...

The upper and lower wheels on the dishracks were broken. Edward B. • Tyrone , GA • January 01, 2021
I was repairing my daughter's WDT730pahz0 Whirlpool dishwasher. The bottom dish rack set of wheels was very easy to install. The replacements for the upper set of wheels is different than the originals. In my opinion, the replacements are far superior to the original parts. The problem, as many have pointed out, is that there are no instructions on how to install the new parts. I worked for 15 minutes, attempting to put the pieces together and then install them on the dishrack. That was a...
