Rubber door boot seal prevents water leaks between the washer drum and door. Replace if torn, cracked, or leaking during cycles. Confirm fit by model.
I noticed the rubber seal (bellow) was damaged near the bottom of the bellow. It looks like removing clothes from the machine had worn away and eventually ripped away some of the seal. This caused water to leak out the bottom of the door. I looked up the model number of my washer on the web and searched for the part number of the bellow. Once I found it I searched eBay, Amazon and a few other places for the part number and opted for Appliance Parts Pros. The part was reasonably priced and... Read more
Washer won't drain or pump keeps running? This drain pump circulates and removes water during wash cycles. Common DIY repair, typically 15-30 minutes.
The original pump was getting jammed intermittently, more and more often. I cleaned it out, but that didn't help the jamming. So I ordered a new pump. Have your new pump on hand and look at it to see how it attaches. The original pump, a different part number than the replacement, lasted about 7 years of almost everyday use, with multiple loads each day. My washer model Maytag MHW5500FW0 has the pump at the bottom back, in an awkward position. This took me about 2 hours due to the awkward... Read more
Replacement door hinge for front-load washers and dryers. Attaches door to cabinet for smooth opening and closing. Needed when hinge is cracked or worn.
I ordered the new hinge and the cap they said would be needed, took the door apart and installed new hinge. Only problem, wish they told me I needed 4 of the caps, for one hinge and each cap was 11.95 x 4...pretty spendy. Fortunately I was able to reuse 3 of my worn ones for now. Read more
Fix F03 E01 or F08 E01 error codes with a new water level pressure switch. Controls fill and drain cycles. Easy 5-minute DIY replacement for washers.
I contacted AppliancePartsPros and gave them my symptoms and failure codes and they were able to diagnose the problem and send the correct parts to resolve the issue. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've used their service since 2012 and they have been correct on each and every repair issue I've had. Many thanks for the professional advice and help! Read more
Hinge pin bushing for front-load washers. Provides a pivot point for the door hinge. Replace if worn, cracked, or causing the door to drop or sag.
Fix F06 E01/E02 error codes or washer that won't spin or fill. Direct plug-in replacement takes 30-45 minutes with basic tools. Includes video guide.
The washer would try to start. The door would lock, but then would get stuck in the phase of start-up where the drum needs to roll around (I assume so it knows what's in there). It would sit and think about it for a couple minutes and then give the error codes. I shut it off (sometimes had to unplug it and plug it back in), and it would take about 10 minutes for the door to unlock. After reading about fixes, I decided to dive in and try it (the washer is only 3 years old and I'm pretty... Read more

Fix F20 or FH water flow errors with a new flow meter. Common cause of fill problems and suds errors. Easy 5-minute DIY repair with video guide included.
This should be plastered all over the place and every owner of a front end washer should be advised or a recall should be issued about this. As I opened the top of my washer to fix a F35 error by replacing the water level switch, which worked out great and it fixed the issue, I noticed a rusting spot at the bottom of the washer just under where the motor is placed. After running the washer with the lid open (I don't recommend doing that) I noticed that it was coming from the top of the soap... Read more
Fixes door lock error codes (F5E3), door won't latch, or continuous lock cycling. DIY-friendly repair takes 20-30 minutes with basic tools.
We watched a YouTube video on how to replace the door latch. Very simple to do. We had to remove the metal band holding the door gasket to be able to access the latch. After removing the band, we pushed aside the gasket and removed the screws to the latch and the connecting cables. To install the new part, we just reversed the process. We reconnected the cables, inserted the new door latch and screwed it in. The hardest part of the process was getting the metal band around the gasket. It... Read more
Fix F26 or F22 error codes and washer won't start issues. This door latch assembly ensures proper closure and signals wash cycle start. DIY-friendly repair.
First I check with Appliance Part Pros, watch videos how to access the parts I believe to be the problem. I love there videos and parts list of solutions to fix what it wrong. First I removed the washer from the laundry room and but it in the garage for more room to work on it. The next thing I replaced was the door lock which seem to be a possible cheap fix and does get a lot of abuse, however it was not the door lock and people should stop posting it could be this issue when they get a F06... Secures the outer boot seal clamp for a watertight seal around your washer door. Replace if you notice leaking around the door during cycles.
Replaced all rubber and plastic hoses coming into and exiting the washer discharge pump. They where gummed up with mold and slime. WOW it stopped all odor from discharge into the utility sink. This model required that the whole front of the washing machine be removed which was very intimidating, but after watching the video from Appliance Parts Pros it was easy, I also replaced discharge pump and the bellows since I had it apart anyway and it was 5 years old. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros I... Read more
Prevents water leaks around the washer door during cycles. Replace if torn, stretched, or causing musty odors. Verify fit with your model number.
Ordered and replaced bellow. It is important to supply the correct model number as my machine is a later model than the one used in the training video. The front panel is one piece, rather than two. Additionally, several of the fasteners were hex head screws, rather than torks. The Bellow is somewhat different having an opening for the light fixture. That said, the video was adequate to get the general idea of how to remove and replace the bellow. I found it very difficult to replace... Read more
Secures the inner door boot seal to prevent leaks in front-load washers. Replace if damaged, corroded, or when seal won't stay in place. Verify fit.
Ordered and replaced the bellows. The video was a great help; but as others have mentioned, later models have small differences. Check your model number. I'll second everything said in the review dated Nov 10, 2018; including the part about getting an assistant to hold the outer retention ring in place while you are stretching the spring. Read more
Fix F30 error code or clicking noise from soap dispenser area with this actuator. Controls detergent release timing. Easy 20-minute DIY repair with video.
After watching the YouTube video provided by Appliancepartspros and checking various forums I determined the dispenser motor had gone out. Turns out, it was a two part problem. The connectors to the motor, and the motor had corroded. Cleaned them both with vinegar. The old motor did a load before I started having problems with the CCU. I didn't learn about the CCU needing a reset under the quick diagnostics until after replacing the motor and the new part doing the same thing. Both the new... Read more

Drain hose for washing machines. Connects tub to pump to carry water during drain cycles. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged. Includes anti-siphon ball.
Repairing the problem was the easy part. Diagnosing the problem took a little more time. To diagnose the problem, it took longer because I first cleaned the Drain Pump trap from all the material it collected. Socks, hair pins, and other materials that were not cleaned from pants pockets. It then still did not drain. Repeated the process after finding more materials and a toy that punctured the hose between the tub and the drain pump. Running the drain and spin cycle takes about 11...
