With all the bouncing around the shocks appeared to be done in but that was not the issue. The key was the balance ring. It had leaked all the fluid out causing all the beads to clump. This is an easy fix. Just remove the back panel, remove the hose clamp to pull out the old hose, put the new hose on, make sure the clamp is well centered onto the connection, and return the back panel. Make sure to insert the drain hose into the three plastic guides that prevent the hose from moving around. Replaced broken drum spider and shaft assembly (part # AP4449265). Burning rubber smell was caused by spinning drum touches door boot seal. Also replaced all 4 shock absorbers just as a precaution.
