I first check the schematics to find the heat sensor. On my model it's c on the control panel. I checked the continuity on the orange and white wires. It showed some continuity but not much. First I took off the spring loaded wire ring holding down the seal to the door with needle nose pliers. Pulled back the seal. Removed the 3 screws holding the part on the front of the washing machine. Slid the piece out. Took the protector guard off the off piece and unplug the wires. Put the wires into new part. So the next step was to check the hose for any debris and when I went to pull the hose off it broke, at the same time I found the check valve flap broke in the drain pump and it was blocking the hose.
