I noticed the rubber seal (bellow) was damaged near the bottom of the bellow. It looks like removing clothes from the machine had worn away and eventually ripped away some of the seal. The original pump was getting jammed intermittently, more and more often. I cleaned it out, but that didn't help the jamming. So I ordered a new pump. Have your new pump on hand and look at it to see how it attaches. The original pump, a different part number than the replacement, lasted about 7 years of almost everyday use, with multiple loads each day. I ordered the new hinge and the cap they said would be needed, took the door apart and installed new hinge. Only problem, wish they told me I needed 4 of the caps, for one hinge and each cap was 11.95 x 4...pretty spendy. Fortunately I was able to reuse 3 of my worn ones for now. Read more

I ran a diagnostics check on the washing machine and came up with the error code E47 -Board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin. The washer thought the door was open and would not finish the spin. I was left with a washer full of very wet clothes. This repair was SO extremely easy. Then I had to unstack the dryer from the washer, remove all covers, disconnect all hose connections, shock mounts and springs and remove the tub assembly. After tracing the water dripping back up through the inside of the washer I found the water dispenser inlet valve was leaking. I watched several videos to make sure I understood what was involved. I contacted a local parts company to get the part. I also searched online for the part. I found that AppliancePartsPros.com had it cheaper. Fixed by replacing the washer door seal "Bellows". Once again AppliancePartsPros comes through with the right part at a great price. It took quite some time to install because putting the inside spring back on the bellow was difficult so I needed to remove the top and front door of the washer to get better access. We watched a YouTube video on how to replace the door latch. Very simple to do. We had to remove the metal band holding the door gasket to be able to access the latch. After removing the band, we pushed aside the gasket and removed the screws to the latch and the connecting cables. To install the new part, we just reversed the process. It was really easy to fix. I just took a screw driver and gently pried up on the top of the clothes washer to open up the top. Then the mixing valve was easy to access. I removed the two screws holding and unplugged the the wires. And pulled the old one free. Then reversed the process to install the old one. Less than thirty minutes start to finish. Read more

I took the door assembly apart by removing the 7 screws on the inner door and the 2 on the striker. I removed the hinge from the washer so that I could place it inside the door when I put it back together. This is much easier then trying to reassemble the door while the hinge is attached to the machine. Once I lined up all of the pieces properly, I screwed it back together and remounted the striker. Replaced all rubber and plastic hoses coming into and exiting the washer discharge pump. They where gummed up with mold and slime. WOW it stopped all odor from discharge into the utility sink. This model required that the whole front of the washing machine be removed which was very intimidating, but after watching the video from Appliance Parts Pros it was easy, I also replaced discharge pump and the bellows since I had it apart anyway and it was 5 years old.
