The Oven Overlay is an OEM replacement part for GE ovens. This overlay is essentially the interface between you and your oven's control board. It features buttons and symbols that allow you to set temperatures, cooking modes, and timers. The overlay is designed to fit directly over the control board, providing a user-friendly interface for your appliance.
Causes for a malfunctioning Oven Overlay can include wear and tear from frequent use, damage from cleaning solutions or spills, or issues with the adhesive that keeps it attached to the control board.
Symptoms of a bad Oven Overlay include:
- Unresponsive or inconsistent buttons
- Peeling or bubbling of the overlay material
- Difficulty in setting cooking modes or temperatures
- Error messages that may indicate a communication issue between the overlay and the control board
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
