Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Control board had no power and i wasn't able to control the oven   Virginia A. • Olympia , WA • September 30, 2014

My husband turned the oven to cook one night and there was a loud pop noise. After that there was no power getting to the control board and thus leaving my oven useless I watched the very easy to follow video posted on here associated with my part and I felt confident I would be able to make this repair on my own. I bought the control board as well as the new overlay (mainly cause I didn't want to try and peel off the old overlay and reuse it) the total time for my repair was less than 15... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Run away temp on lower oven (f10 error code)   David F. • Rutledge , GA • April 18, 2020

Replace relay board. This part wasn’t too difficult, remove doors, racks, and 2 mounting screws on the sides. Then slide the unit out until you can access the top panel. Remove the 5 screws on the panel and then the panel. Unplug the board, remove 2 screws and release the clips holding the board board. The oven is 6 years old and the new part is a newer revision than the old part so it should last longer. The hard job was replacing the temp probe in the lower oven. The wire isn’t long enough to... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You A loud pop and the oven / broiler elements no longer worked   Tracey F. • Marysville , WA • September 07, 2014

We pulled the unit out and removed the back covers. Nothing looked burnt out or shorted. Called a friend who repairs / sells appliances for a living in another country he diagnosed it over the phone and of course added the proper: " I can't be sure but this is the most likely remedy". I called a few local parts suppliers and got extremely poor service so I tried a large retailer known for their appliances and service. That was the most insulting behavior I have ever gotten in a retail store... Read more

Frigidaire Oven Relay Control Board
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 318022002

This is a Frigidaire oven relay control board. This part is made for the double-oven wall design. The relay control board sends a signal to the main control board, causing the oven to turn on or off. These relay boards are engaged directly by the power button of the unit and the cooking timer. When the relay control board malfunctions or short circuits, the baking and broil functions will be directly affected. The oven may quit powering on altogether if the relay board completely fails. A short in the relay will cause the oven power to function correctly at random times. Wall ovens must be dismounted from their positions to install these parts. Once access is gained to the tear of the stove, the back panel can be removed. The relay control board is located near the bottom of the unit, close to the utility drawer. Unplug the connecting wires and engage the mounting clips holding the board. Discard the old unit, and replace it with the upgrade. Connect the cables and fasten the metal panel on the rear of the oven. Check for proper function before mounting the stove back into the wall. This is a genuine OEM product and is obtained directly from the manufacturer. This part is only compatible with Frigidaire wall ovens.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The bottom heating element wasn't working in top oven   Kevin Scott W. • Parker , CO • January 09, 2015

Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You F1 & f3 error codes   Keith L. • Lorain , OH • March 10, 2017

Replaced the Controller (mother board). I previously replaced the temperature probe (316217002) but that did not resolve the problem. Replacing the Controller (318185446 / AP3583606) was much easier and quicker than replacing the probe. Simply remove the 6 or 8 screws that secure that range top and the top lifts easily exposing the Controller. There are only 4 electrical connections that easily unplug and reattach. Although the new board has more connection points, they are similarly labeled... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My electric oven would not heat   Dan E. • Labadie , MO • November 24, 2014

After some testing, it appeared that both elements were bad. After installing the new elements, the problem remained the same. Even when I tested the voltages it appeared that the Oven Control Board was good. However, since that was really the only part left to replace, I ordered it. Once installed the oven is back to normal. Received my Control Panel and Overlay 2 days after it was ordered!!!! Now I can bake cookies for the holidays!! Sweet!!! Read more

I chatted with Elizabeth and she stated I needed to replace the clock/electronic control. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Single popping sound followed by f1 error code control unit and entire oven stopped working   David T. • Roseburg , OR • September 23, 2015

Control unit/clock-timer is located at front of wall oven, so did not have to pull out oven to replace. The actual control unit replacement was easy - with circuit breaker/power shut off, remove panels to gain access, unplug old control unit, plug in new and replace panels, a total of 16 screws and less than 30 minutes time. Record the original order of wiring, so you'll remember which wire connects where! The rest and most of my time was spent researching the error code, parts and assembly... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You We got an f 10 and numerous f 30 error codes   Charles D. • Severna Park , MD • January 14, 2017

We read Tappan gas range "fix it" information on the web which guided us through several hours of testing the heat sensor and the igniter with an ohm meter. Both were functioning properly. The literature said that the next most likely item was the oven control board (also called the clock/timer). AppliedPartPro had the appropriate oven control board in stock. The salesperson said that it was reasonable to think that it was the next most probable culprit, but even if it were not, I could... Read more

The stove became real hot and smoke came from the back. The display read F10. We turned off the breaker. After reading up on the internet and in the manual I turned the oven on again. Sure enough, the broiler element turned on instead of the oven one. I turned off the power and took the back panel off. The burned up relay was super obvious.
